I’m sure some of them will find a seat in WEC / GT’s etc.

I remember when Sophia done a few Ginetta Junior races over here... she shone then.Very lucky young lady.... to ‘survive’ that horrific accident.

Big crash in quali at Spa, 6 cars involved and the drivers are ok. The crash replay is at the end of the session, 1hr 07 into the video. Halo bars and carbon tubs did their job today.
The latest update from W Series is that Visser is the only driver left in hospital, awaiting the result of a leg x-ray

That’s horrific. It does show how much safety has come on over the years and makes you glad of the halo. Not that long ago, a crash like that would have resulted in far more than just minor injuries. The latest update from W Series is that Visser is the only driver left in hospital, awaiting the result of a leg x-ray

That is a pretty spectacular accident, and an amazing testament to the safety systems that motor racing has initiated over the years. Halo in particular.
But it does beg the question - should Eau Rouge be made safer ?
Would be a shame if they did IMHO.But it does beg the question - should Eau Rouge be made safer ?
It's exciting because there's a penalty for failure, those who race accept there's a risk.
It seems to me that everything in place did it's job and touch wood no serious injuries.

There’s a Ted Kravitz interview with two of the British drivers involved, Sarah Moore and Abi Eaton on the Twitter page here

Does anyone who what caused the crash? Was there oil on the track or was it just a bit wet there?
Looks like it was just an unexpectedly wet track, took them all by surprise. The race director needs to be much faster with the red flags in such a situation, might have kept the last couple of cars out of it if they’d stopped the session as the first car hit the wall. Thankfully no injuries, Visser has been on Twitter to say she’s just a bit sore but nothing broken, despite finishing upside-down. https://mobile.twitter.com/beitskevisser/status/14...
