Maybe they should have speed cameras at "dangerous" points and penalise the drivers for going too fast.

Or better still, just ban motor sport.

Not banning, just some modest improvements:..

- 75MPH top speed.
-passing on the left
-noise limits

This should be adequate for the green lobby.

I hope for the best, but not a great update on Correa:

Christ, that's quite difficult reading isn't it? Poor family.

Out of coma but still requires serious surgery.

I suspect we wont see him racing for a long time.

Does being in an induced coma have any long term cognitive effects?

Hopefully it goes well but its been a long time since the initial injury so things are going to be pretty bad in there I suspect.

Looks like a long road to recovery

https://www.autosport.com/f2/news/146271/correa-fu...

"During surgery, they will save what can be saved and removed what needs to be removed in order to rebuild his right lower leg to the best possible condition."

The family added the pace of Correa's recovery had made surgeons, who they described as the best in their field, "cautiously optimistic" about the procedure but stressed his injuries are "severe, and the surgery procedure is very complex".

"Doctors gave Juan Manuel the option of right foot reconstructive amputation. He has chosen NOT to have the amputation and to proceed with the surgery, understanding all the challenges involved," the statement added.

Blimey.

The doctors have said the reconstruction surgery on his right leg has been successful, they have made a statement along with Correa himself. https://wtf1.com/post/juan-manuel-correa-is-recove...

It amazes me how in only a few weeks he’s gone from being in an induced coma in intensive care to starting the process of getting back on his feet again! Good luck to him and I hope we get to see him back in a racing car at some point in the future!

I would be surprised if he has a professional racing career but just being able to walk and lead a normal life is hugely positive.

really? I'd be surprised if there isn't a massive drive to help and promote his racing career, if its in any way possible.

I truly wish him the very best, but if you look at Kubica or Johnny Herbert ( foot injuries ) their careers never recovered. The reconstructive process and months of recovery do not bode well for that level of competitiveness. I will be delighted if I am completely wrong.

Looks like his recovery is going well, great to see. I just hope he takes it slow as Kubica found out its so easy to suffer a second injury when trying to come back too quick.

Interview with Correa https://youtu.be/x7moWPcv4ko

The guy is an absolute fighter, I hope he can recover enough to get back into racing.

I hope so too, but doubt it will be in top flight single seaters.

Is this the first real press he’s given since the accident? Strikes me as being a bit weird if it is, very glossy production.
