Out of order for MSV to be taking all that ticket money with no actual reassurances that spectators would be allowed.
I disagree. It was the most logical way to proceed as a business. Or maybe you’d prefer to see them go bust so we don’t have any decent circuits in the UK any more.

It was a big (very big) sponsor that pulled out.
Not sure why you've got to drop hints and imply it's some sort of secret. Cataclean have pulled their sponsorship.

Have you read the statement? Nothing to do with MSV. The government made the decision.

Up until two days again it was all going ahead as far as they knew. It's the Governments decision to class BTCC as Elite sport that caused the issue. You can watch British GT but not British Touring Cars as one is Elite in the eyes of the Government and the other isn't.

The (admittedly very loose and woolly) definitions of what an Elite sport and Elite athlete are don't seem to fit at all with BTCC but, given the rise in cases and the changes over the last 24 hours, they would probably have stopped it regardless.

Not just touring cars, British superbikes have said today no spectators for any races in August.

Which makes sense as they said they classed BTCC as the top car series in the country so it's Elite. It would be pretty hard to argue that BSB isn't the top bike series in the country.

On the other hand, if you can afford to spend £35 (or multiples of) on a ticket for something you can watch free on TV, it’s probably not the last £35 in your bank account so waiting a couple of weeks for a refund isn’t going to kill you.

Who are Ollie Brown and Jack Butel? They've popped up on the timing sheets driving VW and Merc?.

The new drivers for those teams. Ollie Brown replaced Mike Bushell and Butel replaced Rowbottom. It's been all over the BTCC news and social media the last few days including this thread.

Looks like the Hamish Irvine Cup is going to be getting a bit of a polish up soon if the bottom of the timing sheet is anything to go by (Goff and Hamilton excepted).
