As ever it seems (thank goodness) with these monster crashes, no trees in the way.
There could have been a row of trees in the launch trajectory. Would have made no difference at all to Otts approach...
Scary. I'm afraid the older I get, the more imagination I get. And I have done a lot of tarmac rallying.
Incredible respect to those top flight drivers...

That was some off, the outside videos are spectacular!
If like me, the wrc website isn't working properly, it seems that adblocker and ublock origin view the website as an ad and stop it from loading. So turn off your whatever ad blocker you use and it should work!
The in car footage looks speeded up. He was properly going fast in that section. If like me, the wrc website isn't working properly, it seems that adblocker and ublock origin view the website as an ad and stop it from loading. So turn off your whatever ad blocker you use and it should work!
Suninen nearly did the same as Tanak

Man that Tanak crash is unreal and like something out of a computer game! It never fails to surprise what impacts modern cars can withstand and how crews can walk away from things like that!
Brilliant day from Evans, to lead Ogier on his event until the last stage of the day is no mean feat.
As for Gus Greensmith..

I've done it twice now and without factoring in what winter clothing you need to buy, 4 of you can do the whole event, Wednesday to Monday for around £350, and that's not skimping on food etc! Any questions just fire away
Is it possible to do it staying in the car like you would be doing on Rally GB? Also realistically how long is it to drive down there? 15 hrs or so? Brilliant day from Evans, to lead Ogier on his event until the last stage of the day is no mean feat.

We flew from Gatwick to Nice as its closer for the sunday stages. Flights can be around £50 plus what ever luggage allowance you need.
Last time we had an Air Bnb about 30 minutes west of Gap, and a cheap hotel near the airport. We should have gotten a hotel on the coast for for saturday night too, as taking into account getting past some road closures for the rally meant leaving at 1am!!

Sounds like a good plan, and 1am starts wouldn't be needed!Last time we had an Air Bnb about 30 minutes west of Gap, and a cheap hotel near the airport. BT Sport seem to have messed up their Extra channels this more. Current stage isn't being streamed..
