Hot off the press we have an interview with 2021 champion Dennis Lind.

Thanks for posting that. Denis and Leo had a fantastic season, I'll give the interview a good read. This is them looking very happy indeed and me presenting to them on the podium yesterday.https://www.gt-report.com/2021/10/18/dennis-lind-i...

Biased and a limited fan base, but show the orange army some love. I couldn't make it but know that a week before they were worried about the likely turn out!
The core fans will always be at the top of the tree when it comes to everything. We are just looking to widen the exposure to others who my be into F1 (for example) and not realise that the British GT is so exciting and much more accessible.
Nothing will change with the long established format (and in any event this is out of our remit even if we were stupid enough to want to do this!).

Yes you must be pleased the sky sports f1 showed the race. More exposure for you and the series
Yes, it really raises the profile of the championship and therefore IM too.My focus now is to keep on raising the profile of this fantasitc championship, which doesn't get the mainstream attention and credit I believe it deserves!
Hopefully the sim racing crowd will bring a few more people to the track. GT3 is very popular in most sim titles (assetto corsa/competizione, iracing, project cars etc).
Next year I'll be booking to go to both Donington rounds as usual as well as Oulton Park for the first time. The cars are brilliant and as a convert from F1 I love how close you can get to cars.
Hopefully British GT can go from strength to strength!

Great championship. Loved watching the Oulton Park race, and being in the paddock.
On a side note Julian.....
Grey trousers + presenting the trophies + champagne being sprayed = risky business!
I was absolutely soaked at the end of it and looked like I had wet myself! On a side note Julian.....

Glad you enjoyed Oulton, we have more PHer plans for next year...

What a cracking weekend!
Posted similar to the finance thread, but belongs here:
Went infield to sport this - remember folks, speeding is dangerous!
& I still maintain this race would be stunning - look at the downforce on this lot!

It was great meeting up Mike and you took some great photos (which I may have to share some of this weekend!). Posted similar to the finance thread, but belongs here:

It was a great weekend (really decent weather on Saturday) and brilliant to have crowds back to give it the buzz. Behind closed doors was not great at all.
Hi, We are running an Audi RS3 in TCR-UK which is suporting your first 2 rounds in 2022. As you are involved with the British GT, just wondered if you would have any info regarding the circuit attendance figures for 2021 at Oulton & Donington or advance or expected ticket sales for this year at these rounds?
I have a meeting with a new sponsor tomorrow (wednesday) and I have been trawling the internet for information regarding previous gate figures with no luck.

There were no proper figures kept for these two races last year as there didn't seem much point. The last attendance figures pre-covid were 2019 and were:
Donington 1 = 9,000
Olton Park - 12,500
Donnington 2 - 10,000
I know the expectation this year, as the first full season open since the above, is to smash these out of the park though.
I hope this is of some help and look forward to seeing you there!

We had the first meeting today which went very well, meeting again on Friday so will be armed with the aditional info.
I agree, I think there is a general buzz with spectators wanting to get back to race tracks.
And like wise look forward to seeing you there.

...well if it helps me and my boys will be at Donington and could find your car in the paddock and say how cool it looked, love the livery, really stands out from the other cars, can we take some photos etc.
Love it, Cant wait to get started with the livery design. Although she does look quite good in test mode.
