Arguably not the thread to ask on, but please bare with me.
I'm going to watch at Portimao with my 19 year old daughter. We have an apartment at the circuit for Saturday and Sunday, but have yet to book somewhere from the Wednesday when we arrive.
We both like exploring interesting coastlines, I like older buildings and traditional restaurants. She'll want some life, hopefully stopping short of the strip in Albufeira!
Any recommendations for location? Ideally I'd like a two bed house or apartment, apparently I snore.

I’m a regular visitor to Portimao for ELMS (and WEC this year), we stay in Lagos which has a pleasant old town and lively night lifeI'm going to watch at Portimao with my 19 year old daughter. I'll have to keep an eye on this thread more, my brother-in-law drives for Optimum Motorsport in the Mclaren Artura.
We always enjoy Silverstone, nice and local and some great racing.
I’d be fascinated to hear about the Artura; it sounded so distinctly different to anything else, in a more interesting way; a kind of less is more refined way.We always enjoy Silverstone, nice and local and some great racing.

Kudos to Nik and the team on the hospitality: absolutely superb
The racing was cool, but that circuit Safari with the big red number 12 was quite something else

We'll be looking to stay in Lagos over the weekend and travel to the circuit.Any idea if local taxi companies are reliable, or would we better off with a hire car?

We’ve always hired a car, not sure how easy it’d be to get a taxi to come and pick you up from the track, it’s pretty remote. Any idea if local taxi companies are reliable, or would we better off with a hire car?
If you’re staying in the old town in Lagos you might need something small to be able to negotiate the streets
