Indy 500 practice iracing on now - Newgarden stream - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWD_yGzNMkQ

Looks like Norris qualified 6th.

Newgarden was told two cars low into T1 and still turned down into them, airborne. Terrible start too.

Lando's twitch stream- https://www.twitch.tv/landonorris

The iRacing IndyCar racing continues to knock spots off F1's offering.

Pagenaud did that deliberately and Ferrucci proves himself to be a moron as usual.

Disappointing really - very good up to last three laps, then stupidity set in and ruined the illusion of it being racing.

Up to then, very impressed.

I was watching McLaughlins stream. His guys were telling him to sit in 5th as it was all going to kick off in front and how right they were. Rahal (and others) did not seem happy about what Norris was doing at all but I couldn't really see what was going on from Scotty's car.

Egos are getting bruised as they get shown up. Rahal is a habitual moaner, like Rossi but since Rossi has been nowhere he has had nothing to moan about.

Yeah; WTF was Norris doing wrong?

Is that it though? They're not moaning about Scotty and he's right there coming from a completely different type of racing which he is also at the front of in the virtual world.

Enjoyable race - until the last few laps. When you've tried to make it a serious event, its not great when some drivers decide to cause havoc, because 'it's a game'. Ferrucci has form for this in real life; Pagenaud was surprising...and disappointing.

Scott wasn't about to win the 2nd of only 2 races he's taken part in and the blue riband oval one too.

He put it on pole and he was in position to win it pretty much the whole race. Norris was out of it on fuel strategy until there was a late caution. McLaughlin and one other (can't remember who) were the only ones with enough fuel to make it to the end. After the caution he was in a really strong position and deliberately chose to stay where he was as his team knew it would kick off.

Scott won his 2nd ever race, 4th in his first, damage from an idiot in his 3rd and won his 4th.

I think the issue they have is headlines and articles using words like embarrassed to describe how the other drivers must feel about what Norris is doing in the Indycar series. At the end of a day it's a game with a very poor tyre model and punters like crashes. If it had been Lando that had won that way I expect most of the social media comments today would be very different.

That video does show a pretty poor understanding of ovals by Lando but retaliation is a pretty cheap shot. Going to happen in a game though. In real life it would have been a shouting match in the pits.

Huge own goal by Pagenaud, and really reveals his true self (spoilt prat 35 year old). Indycar could have been in the main sports news today, but it's now just confined to fans laughing at them on Twitter. Real shame.

Norris did nothing wrong it was Rahal's fault. It he had kept his line nothing would have happened but he turned right into Pagenaud.

It's also running at 1am BST on Sunday morning (I certainly won't be watching live!), so might be some free replays available the following day.

Well I won't bother with the race, looks to be just one line around the corners, go above that and you get Sato'd.

apparently blaming Nascar which ran there last year, laying down the wrong rubber.

Perhaps sunset help.
