Events still to attend in 2020?
Discussion
I am surprised that anyone would attend a crowded event at all. There is no certainty that the pandemic is over and a second wave in flu season will be severe.
I am no tinfoil hatter and where I live in Canada is doing quite well but the US reopening is disastrous and being attributed to people rushing to beaches and bars.
I typically go to all kinds of events including track. Right now my cars are getting little use and I will not be going to any events.

There's going to be very few motor races that will be busy enough that you will have to worry about social distancing at all.
Even a full grandstand is going to be safer than being inside in a bar, restaurant or public transport IMHO, people aren't going to be singing or jumping about like at a football game either.
You can also bring drinks/lunch from home so you don't have to queue up with people.
Hopefully there will be extra toilets but even if not you'll only be inside for a minute or so, and urinals are one place that blokes naturally socially distance anyway...

I'm not sure that any responsible organiser would allow a "crowded" event, and that certainly has no prospect of being allowed to happen in the UK. However, for many reasons there is an urgent need to get as many events going as soon as possible. The economic impact is going to be severe and that needs to be softened as much as possible. A second wave does appear inevitable and that's always a significant threat, but we all need to make as much use of the summer as possible.I am no tinfoil hatter and where I live in Canada is doing quite well but the US reopening is disastrous and being attributed to people rushing to beaches and bars.

With MSV announcing they will allow spectators I have just booked tickets for the Masters Historic meeting at Donington on Sunday the 19th July. With FIA Historic F1, FIA Sportscars, Endurance Legends, Minis and Touring Cars it’s like a mini Silverstone Classic for £15!
That’ll be a great meeting and a bargain day out. Jealous!df76 said:
