I reckon as the tyres are so safe someone should offer Mr. Mosley a few laps of Indy in an F1 car with the Michelin tyres on. I wonder what he would say?

Something along the lines of "Travel all the way over there, just for some F1 nonsense? Don't they know what a busy, and very important man I am?!"

The length of this post, and the lengths that have been gone to to attribute blame for the latest F1 cockup just reinforce the fact that it is so very far from 'sport'.

I'm so glad I was at Le Mans while all this was going on.

For the first time Rosenthal let his true feeling be known.
I always thought his true feelings were that he would rather be doing football.

Which are that it is a poor substitute for football?

It was just that he seemed to allow the "Smiling Jim" mask to slip a bit last weekend and it did seem that he (and ITV in general) were truly annoyed with the way things were developing.

Ah, I see. Yes, I saw that too. Indeed; he did appear to be showing some signs of actually caring.

Was everyone aware the the French and Italian TV companies stopped coverage after the first few laps in protest?
