The mini challenge also makes for good viewing. 130bhp but very entertaining. British motorsport at its finest
These 3rd gen MINI's are around 250bhp wink

What a great race, action all the way, and it's great to see Wookie get a very well-deserved win, congrats! Glad Butcher and the marshall seem to be ok, that was a massive one.

I've been looking up Neate's business's on google. Hmmm is all I can say. He's roped in a former BTCC driver to fund his photon grow business, yet strangely there is no website. Equally 69 shareholders which when you sum the total amount of shares purchases comes to approx £350K. Remind me again of how much a BTCC drive costs?

I wouldn't touch his business dealings with a bargepole. There is a very very high chance that he'll end up ........

just chucking this up there. unrelated to anything or anyone obviously

Bit if an odd post to delve into his personal finances. Anyway I’m no fan but I do recall that he helped set up a large Led lighting company where he was CTO (which would indicate he’s not stupid and money is genuine) and since then sold his shares.

As you were unable to find this information which is an easy google click away I’d advise not giving up the day job for an investigations one

Why not just leave it and focus on the driving rather than trying to PI a drivers personal finances, or can we expect similar features on the other drivers over the coming weeks...

Ceravision was not LED. It was an (allegedly innovative) new light source and appeared to be a vehicle to attract investors in the IP. They hardly sold anything but had impressive premises in MK and an RnD 'facility' at Bletchley Park. Emperor's new clothes springs to mind.

try this

https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/0319173...

you need to access the administrators report.

At a guess, Photongrow is based on a similar business model, with the proceeding company to ceravision (vibe link) also similar.

https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/1258877...

would be interesting to see if I am reading this right? perhaps someone who's a bit more of an accountant than me could look at it? Eric MC?

I'm not sure digging up his business dealings are adding anything to the thread - his inability to go around a racing track without smashing into others is sufficient enough I think
it adds a lot to the thread. If you behave like a bell end, you can expect the microscope to be shone on you.
My interest was trying to understand where he got the money to race as there are no sponsors on the car, I assumed he was a the son of a millionaire or something. I am wrong in that assumption.

He has been classified as 'very intelligent' by none other than WSR themselves ( see his linkedin profile) yet I can see no reference to any academic qualifications? I'd say he is street smart, but that's different, and when you are the CTO of a tech company asking for investment from HNW individuals I'd be looking at that persons qualifications and experience in producing this type of product before investing many thousands of pounds. If you then invest in that business without a demonstrable track record of success, you'd have to be either naive as a HNW or be faced with a tremendous sales person, maybe to the point of being a ..... artiste.

All this then asks the question as to how much of a sham life can one person have? It would appear that if you are confident enough then you can have enough of a sham life to live a millionaire lifestyle that includes enough money to race at international level. But read the administrators report and counter with some other view?

Sorry chaps I read this last night when I got back but my phone has virtually exploded!

Thanks for all the good wishes, it’s a cringing and smug sounding word but it is genuinely heartwarming to know you guys are cheering me on and I really do appreciate it thumbup

Seems funny to think when I joined here nigh on 15 years ago I‘d barely driven on a race track!!

Also just a note on Andy, while he’s never going to be everyone’s cup of tea and he’s evidently rather unsubtle about how he goes about some of his dealings on track IMHO he’s not a bad man by any stretch of the imagination. I know many, many people in Motorsport that would much more greatly deserve your ire but have a PR face and smell of roses.

Also whatever you might think of him he has a lovely family and they have to read about their husband and father being dragged through the mud on a daily basis.
