Great photos Trackside.

Don't suppose you got any of the flaming RX-7 from Sunday's Belcar heat (or decent ones of the RX-8's in Britcar S1) by any chance?

Thanks Iain. Can't beat Paul's flaming RX-7 shot I'm afraid. Mine are a bit blurry. I know I've got some decent shots of the RX-8s though. Will look tonight (pics stored on home PC).

Excellent, one of those cars that makes a flame shot inevitable but they're great photos!

Not subtle in any way shape or form but damn cool

sidetrack-on...

I'm thinking of getting hold of an old 2nd Gen 7 (FC) and track-prepping it - that colour scheme would be fun but I may go for the original non-dayglow colours:

One I just happened to have nearby

Is it the same car as the CSL they raced last year?

Best looking car IMHO.

Lovely. Thanks.

Cool photos.

Someone ought to tell the people responsible for eerc.co.uk that blue text on a blue background is about as good an idea as a chocolate petrol tank.

'Blue text on a blue back ground'? I missed that, where?

... or a chocolate teapot.

The CSL is an evolution of last year's car. We are calling it the CSL-GT, though EERC keep listing it as a GTR, which it isn't.

It now features the full carbon Flossman GTR body kit (it had some of it on last year). Engine is totally standard CSL engine, but on Motec management. Car has a bigger fuel tank, and a sequential gearbox. Suspension is standard CSL wishbones etc, and steering rack, but different dampers and springs.

Car has had hardly any running, and we were brave to run it at Brands - it went well, for 37 laps, until a diff problem finally put an end to things. Fastest BMW there, and fastest lap in class 2, so looks promising!

I agree it was the best looking car there
