The first time I ever went to a BTCC meeting I think was actually the last night race at Silverstone in 2000

It was a great spectacle but I think with today’s racing it would be a bit dicey. You didn’t get the big packs of cars back then as you do now and it would be hard to place what’s around you in the dark without a lot of ambient lighting.

I’ve done a few 24 Hour races, the way the traffic flows around you isn’t like touring car racing. Hilariously the C1 24 I did at Spa last year was probably the closest with the cars all being a similar speed. At moments even that could be hard work in the bigger packs

That’s doing 50mph less in a car half the size in a situation where everyone isn’t at each others throats for a short race

TLDR - it’d be great to watch but I’m scared

Don't forget that BTCC did race into the night at Snetterton in 1999 (as well as Silverstone in 2000). And many of the BTCC drivers took part in the Willhire 24 hour races held at Snetterton.(1980 to 1984)

20 years old but still manages to include a classic plato move at the 12min mark, foot in, not giving an inch!

Placing Brands 3 weeks after the previous round and into mid November is a stupid bit of planning
Do you think it was actually "planned" to have the truncated series this year and the dates that this necessitated?
Clearly it was, Alan Gow is secretly behind Covid really....

Why you're such a track demon, of course!
Erm, how about no. I don't know you, you don't know me. I'm not sure why you think I should be answering to a stranger on the internet

On that note, I'd like to see Ray's luxury yacht, how hide the elephants manages the feat, whether Chris really has an MG but maybe not so much Poo at Paul's.. type
