Someone on Twitter was suggesting that Crees leaving BTC wasn't just to do with sponsor money.
I think they commented 'if only' (their name was similar too).

Crees put out a video the day after on his socials which made it very clear that it wasn't to do with lack of sponsors as all his sponsors are still on board. He said that it was under the advice of his commercial team that he pulled out of the drive.

I wondered if it was to do with Rich Energy again. Don’t they sponsor Crees personally but are now sponsoring Power Max Racing according to PMR on the 28 April.


All seems very strange. Real shame he’s missing this season.

Only way I can see it being purely about money is if BTC suddenly raised the price of the drive unless you think Crees is lying about all his sponsors being on board?

Sponsors "being on board" is not quite the same as "I can't raise enough money...."
