Monza this weekend! I know not everyone likes it but I actually quite like it as in the grassy sections the drivers can't just rely on the cars power/trick differential to save them from mistakes!

Would love to see Evans beat Ogier but it's probably too much of an ask, Ogier seems to just be able to finish these events well even if he hasn't had the best time.

No-one has cared for years, and it will never change, rallying had its time in the limelight, those days are gone sadly.

Monza rally is a bit naff I think for a WRC event, but if the weather is OK it could be interesting

Agreed, he's involved but not really though ? Having said that stranger things have happened.

what does Evans do to promote the sport outside of rallying?
he is a low key kind of character and therefore is not going to get picked up as tabloid 'darling' until he starts promoting himself.

However he doesn't have to and I'm not advocating that he should. It's just that you need personalities to generate the interest.

Perhaps he needs to ride around the paddock on a child's scooter, and start spouting some "Welsh Lives Matter" stuff to the media?

I enjoyed last year's Monza Rally. Just to see cars racing on the banking really stirred my blood... although I admit I'm a sucker for old circuits.

Never forget the time I took my Integrale to Reims for a photo call way back when!

Yep, I'm looking forward to the weekend. Enjoyed the 2020 version and it's interesting enough to cause some dramas. Looks like it should be a dry weekend over there.

If you want to see some live stage action S4c Ralio have coverage for some reasonbiggrin if you can access their channel. You can get subtitles usually.

For some reason the Welsh are well revved up about the WRC last round again.

The current cars are some of the fastest for years, went to watch rally GB in 2017, the year of the M sport treble.

Been watching live on stage and TV coverage since the mid 70s, a spectacularly driven car is a spectacularly driven car, pretty much regardless of its spec.

There are still ways and means of watching via a screen without spending money, more and more events are doing live streams.

Clubbie level motorsport has bounced back well in so many areas despite what some doom mongers who are still thumbing through the car by car reports in their collection of old rallysport magazines would have you believe. type

I've been impressed with many club/ national events putting out a live stream of certain stages. I was in Alwen for the Cambrian a few weeks ago, and whilst waiting for the cars to arrive, was watching the first stage on my iphone. Similarly, last weeks Rallynuts had coverage from Myherin.

Agreed, there are also quite a few events getting streamed in Europe.

I would like to see Evans win the WRC but think its a valley too far looking at the points.

Amazing work, not only for its theme but not full of nonsense, she knew she was a token, but she nearly won the title, won tough rallies.

I had no idea about her father dying in Africa, but the way she lives now, no real thought of it all as fabulous.

She was no fool, was not easy to be around it seems, but she delivered in so many ways, and I think Gumpert is right, maybe another 100 years from 92 it might happen, or never!

I hope not, but she is unique and to be celebrated.

You might struggle to get much detailed info on line. It’s kept quiet from the crews.
It’s a question of interpolating it from the HERO spectator info.
I do believe the will be doing the Loch Ness monster Regularity again, on Monday night, Tuesday morning. That uses all the small yellows mainly to the south of the Loch, including the infamous staircase at Inverfarigaig. Expect it will be sometime in the small hours of Tuesday morning.

Some news not reported on here:

Neuville crashed heavily in testing, which may set their development back.....

Andrea Adamo has left his role as the Hyundai motorsport boss.

The ERC will be on the All Live platform along with WRC, World Rally X - sounds good, but all behind a paywall, is that really good?
