usually this race is held in very early November.
First weekend of October, not Nov.
Actually incorrect.Last year 15-18th October.2019 10-13th.
Neither of which is very early November, so you’re still wrong.

Traditionally the race runs early October, 2020 and 2021 have had later runnings for obvious reasons.

It use to be on the long weekend in October(1st week) but no longer. It is now more into the middle of that month.I have been a few times in the very late sixties & seventies. You are correct, just got mixed up on the date.

Looks like Mostert’s set up may be fast but not tyre friendly.

yes I think Chaz's interview confirms that

Sort of half a stint out of synch now, I guess they need a safety car now to readdress it

SIL ran over one of those and it wrecked her tyre.

Probably not good to flatten one live on TV either I suppose.

Chaz has got this barring any more safety cars. And well deserved, been the fastest car all weekend

Just a great win,& a very popular one @ that.Anyone but T8.Chaz has certainly matured in his driving.Car was a rocket ship.Waters yet again runner up.It’s on next year with the 2022 championship.Real shame with ADP,force to be reckoned with next year I would say.

What a cracking race!

SVG / Tander just couldn't mate the winning pace.

A deserved win and great end to the season

I dont watch any V8 stuff normally being a Brit it is just sort of away from my life live

But I do enjoy the simple things like onboard radio interviews where the driver swears and nobody rushes in to apologise like they do over here, they realise it is not their fault and it just gets left alone.

Gotta love the Aussie way of doing some things.

Where is the best place to watch a re-run of the race?
I have BT Sport, but can't find a re-run of the programme.

Rough luck for Van Gisbergen with a brand new tyre failing so close to the end of the race, though Mostert had more car speed all weekend so I don't think Van Gis would have caught him for the win. Denied us an exciting push over the last 5 laps though, and you never know what will happen under pressure.

Enjoyed watching a few of the supporting races, that S5000 single seater class was good.

That was some crash in the S5000 race.

Also the Gen3 cars look & sound great.

GM’s attempts to convert Holden fans over to Chev are cringeworthy.

SVG and GT giving a new flag to the bloke that handed SVG the flag last year was appalling - “here is a new flag oh and it has Chev on the back, have a cap and a T shirt as well.”

The comments on Holden’s Facebook page were brilliant. I think they just started deleting all the negative stuff after giving up trying to explain themselves.
