To be fair in my experience that is motorsport all over. Unless you are very qualified, teams and people will squeeze every drop out of you for nothing.

Thought about it but didn't...... The hours were the killer! I can spend weekends there and not get paid instead.

New circuit manager is announced. I have a vague feeling that he might be or at least once was a member here.

That’s me, Jurbie.

It’s a huge job and will require everything I can throw at it. However, you can be assured that a devoted motor racing lover is in post. And I’m sure you’ll understand that I won’t be discussing anything particular about DP or MSV on here.

Congratulations! Tough job given the current environment, however good to know that it is a proper racing person that has the role.

Thanks, all. I totally agree - it’s an extremely special place and I’m genuinely honoured to be appointed to take care of it. I really hope to see you all enjoying the place from next month when we can welcome spectators back through the gates.

A big thanks if you were involved with the Historic meeting this weekend Chevron. Coverage was excellent on both days and went some way to filling the huge void that most of us have felt this year in not being allowed entrance thus far. Chomping at the bit to hit the Silverstone meeting in three weeks time, even if I have to wear a flamin' mask all day! Best of luck with the new job mate - looks like we're in safe hands!

Hoping to be back at Donnington soon - missing the planes like mad!

I was only very peripherally involved in DHF. All credit is due to the team at DP, the promoter, marshals, medics, media, race control, catering staff, etc. It takes hundreds - if not thousands - of people to make these events work. The Historic Festival was a terrific weekend - I was there in person on Sat and watched the live stream on Sun. A great credit to all involved.

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment in the thread. I always try to pass the positive comments on to the appropriate people. Hope to see you here soon, there’s a huge amount of racing to look forward to this summer!

Is the power going to be turned back on in the paddock pretty please? biggrin Last year at Donners I didn’t bother refuelling the genny, made for a very cold and miserable time when all the outlets were covered over!

Congrats on the job. I love Donington it’s one of the circuits I’ll come down from Scotland to spectate at. Next thing is getting on track.
