I'm there for the whole weekend! Going with my lad and his mate, so we are camping both Friday and Saturday nights! I hasten to add my lad is 12 and so's his mate so I'm the only one having a beer! REALLY looking forward to it! Must say a damn fine price for a fine weekends racing! Anybody else agree?

Last year the camping area was a free for all with the main group coming from the NW and together. We were lucky as someone was leaving as we arrived. If you are camping suggest you get there before
Cars were parked behind the mainstand on both days. Not sure if this will be the same again.

Can anyone tell me where the camping is?Is it inside the circuit or at the farm opposite?
By the way, I'm glad the site is back up and running, but I missed the opportunity to post yesterday due to some idiot abusing the system! Will they ever learn?

It is inside the circuit.
If you book in advance it is cheaper. Go thrrough the Silverstone website but from memory I had to call as I couldn't buy weekend tickets via the web. Had mine about 4 months.

We couldn't get our tickets through the web, and after 4 phone calls over 5 weeks our tickets have just arrived. Roll on August.

Just went up to Silverstone to get a good look around at the Classic and Historic cars. The Group C cars look brillant and the Lola T70's and spyders are mouth watering along with the Chevon B8/B16! There is a great selection of cars and if anyone has the chance to get up there this weekend then do so. I will be there sunday and can't wait for it.

Sorry FFG, just realised that my offer of a beer might be misconstrued! I must say I'm happilly married to my second wife and have no inclinations the other way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately she wont be with me as we have a young baby daughter who I dont think is ready for a whole weekend of the best motorsport on offer! Many appologies if I caused offence!

Looks like Oreca are pulling out all the stops- McNish & Ortelli in.
Still, gotta put my support with Shorty & the Rollcentre boys (& girl).
But, the Zytec may hold together this time, who knows (if Tom remembers he's not in a touring car!)
Oh, and guess who's driving for Chamberlain in the Lola.......?

Remember to cheer on PistonHeads resident Brummie Racer with Sideburns, P490KVP (Phil "Billy" Bennett). The midland shrimp will be racing in car no.30, the Kruse Motorsport Courage. He is quite rapid round his home circuit, and Vergers ain't no slouch, so hopefully a podium in the making....

looks like Johnny Herbert's helmet to me...

Will be there with Team JOTA, courtesy of Sam Hignett. They did a brilliant job at Le Mans and Spa, so we hope to see a repeat of that success.

Trying to work out how to get there on Friday at the moment. Looks like an absolutely packed weekend.

Weather forecast is looking very good at the moment too.
