Hannu Mikkola R.I.P.
Discussion
I was an 11yo kid when I first encountered Hannu Mikkola, storming through RAC Rally special stage Sutton Park in my hometown in a Quattro that just sounded sooooo good, I was immediately a fan.
I saw a great YouTube tribute from Michele Mouton yesterday, made me laugh by her saying that she liked to party but he was so dedicated he was always in bed by 9pm, but still a great friend of hers.

I can confirm that Michelle did indeed like to Party, 1983 Audi sport rally after rally party she was up there all night on the dance floor 105.4 said:

It's sorry state of affairs when a website/forum such as PH isn't sufficiently up to speed with motorsport and those who used to compete in it, to be able to publish a tribute in a timely manner, and without prompting, when such rally giants pass away.

I agree, but that just a sign of the times, and an evolution of the site and the people on it (but more noticable for us old gits who have been around here for many years)Gassing Station | General Motorsport | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
