The concept has some promise, just needs to lose the Captain Planet eco Robot Wars vibes.
I agree completely. The attitude needs to be "if we want to carry on racing, this is what we have to do" not "We are saving the planet". It's not like eco stuff needs more awareness. The racing needs bigger grids.

Just been watching the Saudi round on ITV4.
Bit brutal on the cars, and perhaps not as entertaining as the good old days of RallyCross at Lydden Hill, with Murray, on a wet and cold Sat afternoon, but still find it interesting.
More tomorrow.
I like it - the presentation and camerawork still a little "low-key", but none the worse for that.Bit brutal on the cars, and perhaps not as entertaining as the good old days of RallyCross at Lydden Hill, with Murray, on a wet and cold Sat afternoon, but still find it interesting.

I quite like the complete lack of celebrity / pit walk / bks that's prevalent with most other stuff.

How many other race series are there that can even hope to feature cars crashing into the Red Sea?
A slightly different venue for the next one - at a former opencast mine in deepest Dumfries and Galloway.I've never watched it before, but will be watching this one as I trudged round Glenmuckloch many years ago surveying the peat depth.

Tried to get into it today and soon got fed up of the constant high speed American style commentary that is just a stream of statistics and very little on screen action.
It does seem to highlight the huge gap in ability between former rally and rallycross stars and hopeful female drivers .
I so want it to work but it's not grabbing me , maybe I have been spoilt being up close and involved in rallycross in the good days .
All hype , little action and lacking in atmosphere for me .
Great Motorsport at any level always as a tingle of anticipation.

Must admit I was surprised that CGZ has been dropped. She seemed to be doing ok in this series and is certainly a fierce and fearless competitor. However, good luck to Block. It will be interesting to see how she gets on.

Yep, I'm in the same camp for the same reasons. Have tried a few times to get into it, but I've given up now.It does seem to highlight the huge gap in ability between former rally and rallycross stars and hopeful female drivers .
