The main issue, from a TV perspective, is that once they've put the concrete barriers and the high fences up, many of these races ould be absolutely anywhere. There is little point in going to the expense and effort of, for example, managing to close some of actual central London, when it'll look no different to the road down the side of the Excel Centre once they're done with it anyway.

The benefit of the locations is solely to attract people to the actual races.

What a utterly crap track like a big go kart track. Why not use the Olympic park could use any variety of layout that would be good but no stupid tight corners and a gimmicky oh lets go inside that be great.
As someone that doesn't mind watching formula e that was a dreadful choice of a track layout. At least a Brit won the race and another Brit is leading the championship.

Got to agree. I'm a huge FE fan having watched every single round but that has got to be the worst track ever and they've had some bad ones.

I’ve just put this on because there’s nothing else to watch. They’re racing around a multi storey car park!! It’s an actual joke right?
This is the sort of soullessness that only the British seem to be able to achieve. Can you imagine an Italian looking at this set-up and saying "yes, that's going to be a great motorsport venue"?

London could be a great location for this sort of thing, but not in a car park! At least if they had axes and flails it could be a sort of a racing version of robot wars smile
The race around Brooklyn industrial estate was worse.
Most of the tracks are the same, even when they went to a real race circuit they put an absurd chicane in to make them crash more.

I'm no fan of Formula E - Just clicked on the Eurosport feed out of curiousity, a car park?

Lost for words.

Ah, BSB is back. British GT race at Spa was good too!

Likewise, I've never watched this before but just stumbled across it, flicking channels.. What a daft looking circuit, soulless, too tight and what's with the attack mode gimic? I'm oddly curious but this seems farcical?!

If it’s proved he stopped does he keep the race?

He got black flagged on the last lap. The team didn't tell him straight away, maybe didn't tell him at all.

Di Grassi pit box is behind a staircase or sign on the camera following him through the pitlane, so it doesn't show him stopping or not stopping hehe

No more farcical than DRS really.

Its 100 x times better than the rubbish attempt they did in Battersea park that was abysmal at least we have some speed now.

Drivers seem to be treating this like a Dodgems car race not impressive at all.

Di Grassi almost but not quite coming to a stop. If he had stopped completely he wouldn't have had a penalty

I enjoyed the race, even given the soulless place. All that was missing was a downpour with ten minutes to go!

One gets the feeling that they're trying to be 'too clever'; "Oh look at us, we've put our circuit in a car park, and our pits indoors". I dip in and out of Formula E, but get fed up with all the penalties......I find it a real turn off.

That move by Audi to get Di Grassi into the lead behind the safety car from 8th place was genius- but they wasted it in the execution. Surely a one time opportunity to pull that stunt as the opportunity to do that within the regulations will now surely be removed.
