Agree with most on here I dont actually mind it when on a good track with decent racing don't even mind the attack mode but the quali system some stupid track layouts which are way too tight, some weird penalities given out and the race in Spain where they took away way to much energy after the safety car just takes any excitement out of it for me.

For some reason I get really annoyed about this silly spectacle.
The one thing everyone has about electric cars is range anxiety. People are just worriers regardless of wether they only do 4 miles to the shop and back.
Meanwhile these t
ts seem to make a big play on the available energy ticking down to 0%.
Why not spec a battery and run a race to the amount of laps that the car will comfortably finish,and never mention this aspect.
You know like normal racing.

Ever seen an F1 car run out of fuel?
(or get fed up with "making the fuel numbers")
The tech has come a long way. They used to change the cars at half way!
I quite enjoy it, especially the rough & tumble.

They should be made to finish the race with at least 1kW of energy left, and the scrutineers should be able to take a 1kW sample of energy at any time during the event. (or get fed up with "making the fuel numbers")The tech has come a long way. They used to change the cars at half way!

I'm glad he's got a drive. I saw today he'd been replaced at AlfaI see they have started giving details of the Gen 3 car.

Sounds impressive however as you said tracks need to change now to make it worth while to watch. Also they are ditching the stupid quali format which is a good thing indeed.Link

I tuned in to the London race, it’s the first one I’ve ever really watched, observations:
- track is total rubbish, why can’t they use smaller real racing circuits?
- cars and technology are actually pretty cool
- drivers are also pretty good
- don’t like the whole attack zone/fan points thingy
- the combination of track, crowd, lights, artificial points/power, low budget fireworks made the whole thing appear like a 90s Saturday night game show like gladiators and not in a good way. They need to up their game and get a bit more serious
