Was that not exceeding track limits by Sutton to overtake in R2?

Soft tyre and no weight made a big difference.

Looks like gow had a word after the crash fest that was thruxton not one safety car for any of the btcc and apart from a few bumps no major crashes or body damage.
Last race was the best of the 3 pleased for Ingram and first win for the team and Hyundai as a brand but how far off are the other Hyundai drivers.

P11 on the grid, not P15.

And he won because he's the best driver, with an exceptional car. Nothing illegal about it.

Well done Wookie on the second race! I didn't see the third race so don't know what the result was!

Rammed off the road by Sheddon sadly (that may be an exaggeration but broken rear suspension after being passed with defenite contact)

Was it not worth defending against Sutton in the 2nd race Wookie?
Nah he was miles quicker so I waved him by, my race was with Tingram and didn’t want to waste any time battling

Sutton does seem to have a large performance advantage, Cant think of any modern BTCC drivers who "go far"

He was mighty impressive holding the position with all that weight on.

He has looked to be a class above the field since his first season. The question is, where is there for him to go? The BTCC has such a high profile, is there really an incentive to international touring car racing?

Nah was my fault, I mistimed the cutback and just got an unlucky touch which bent the shear plate on the steering arm and knocked the tracking miles out

Fair enough. Cracking weekend though I thought, another win is surely coming soon, hopefully at Brands.

I would have thought Thruxton would be a good bet. The Focus does seem to save straight line speed.

You say that (and there’s been some moaning apparently!) but I didn’t feel like we actually had any straight line advantage over, say, the BMW’s. We seemed to be a bit low on minimum corner speed compared to some of the other FWD cars but we come off the corners better and I think that’s the bulk of it.

For example Sam was top of the speed traps and a chunk up on me but his engine and car is virtually exactly the same as mine, he just was going in a bit slower and coming out a bit faster

Also to be fair Thruxton is counterintuitively more of a handling track!
