Did Keith Flint race ??
He was definitely involved or owned some bike teams in and around the BSB paddock. Wouldn't be surprised if he raced at some point.

You're right - it was "Desray" Wilson not Davina Galica - the only woman to win an F1 race.-

Shane Lynch of Boyzone (boyband). Raced in Brit GTs for a number of years before turning to drifting.

Richard Dunwoody (jockey). I seem to remember he started off in Formula Ford or something similar in the 90s.

Some more I know f.

Olympic Skier Gunde Svan from Sweden was a decent rallycross driver in the mid 90's.
Which reminds me:

Slim Borgudd - was a session drummer, most notably with ABBA. In fact he was relatively talented and progressed through the usual ranks until a season of F1 with ATS in 1981 and a couple with Tyrrell in 1982 before Uncle Ken chucked him out when the money ran out. He continued sporadically after this and ended up racing trucks in the European series (thanks Wikipedia).
He partnered Mark Hales to win the Willhire in 1989 - which for that year was 25 hours and as always at Snetterton - they were in the Firestone Sapphire Cosworth prepped by Roger Dowson

scratchchin..... That’s a good teaser.

Wasn’t Margaret Thatcher, was it? for security reasons).
Also, of course, her son Mark who, amongst other things, caused an international incident when getting lost on the 1982 Paris-Dakar...
She was useless...OK on the straights, but she wasn’t for turning getmecoat
This deserved better hehe

If anybody hasn't watched the Youtube series about Michael Fassbender as he work through the Porsche Race Experience programme you should - Season 1 is ok.. Season 2 is properly gripping... its well made, well shot and its real Michael Fassbender not him 'acting'. You can see how much he wants it and the roller coaster of emotions that racing is.

That reminds me of when they would do the annual Banger charity night at Wimbledon.... except they would announce who would be appearing BEFORE even being approached.

Seen so many people racing stock cars over the years, Cannon and Ball, Loads of people from soaps, at one time promoters used to get someone form a soap at a meeting on bank holidays, sadly it meant huge crowds, even then people were that sad. But it worked, and fair play they were game and often had a go in stuff they were no way insured to go anywhere near really!!

Chris sadly has had some serious health issues for quite a while now, but still gives it a go when he can.
