I could not disagree more! Dynamics will be back next year.

Nick Hamilton completes the line up at Team HARD. More Cupras on the grid than most dealerships

There must still be a couple of TBL’s out there.... I’ve lost track of all the wheeling & dealing.

At least one of which will go to One Motorsport's 3rd entry if it comes to fruition.

By my calculations, even with that TBL...on the +/- scale, Still missing two seats compared to last year.

This is the least interested I've been in for the new season of the btcc since I've been watching it. Big teams lack of variation in car model just something missing overall.
Support series look decent though.

Take it back to its roots, so they are actually based on the car that they are supposed to be.
I’m not keen on the Hybrid...but as long as they use ICE, I’m happy..
But it’s getting to the stage now, where the support races are more exciting to watch & I’m really looking forward to this years mash up.

They are based on the car they're supposed to be. You can't build one without the bodyshell of the car.

Interesting. How much of the original bodyshell is retained then?

Matt Neal was a interested spectator at the Masters meeting at Donington over the weekend.

Everything apart from the front chassis legs/inner wings and the same on the back to allow for the standard subframes to be bolted up. Plenty of build videos from the various teams over the years on their socials.

The roll cage in an NGTC car isn't a space frame on which carbon panels are hung like some other series.

What about the main bulkhead, the floors, the boot floor, all that is standard to the original bodyshell?

How about you tell us? You're clearly involved with one of the teams. You know the answer to the questions you're asking
Either that or you're some sort of Walt who gets a kick out of being smug with endless "I know something you don't but I'm not going to tell you what" posts.

I can't tell you. I'm genuinely interested. But obviously you know, so spill.

I pretty much echo that sentiment. I'm not really excited about the prospect of a field that seemingly almost a third of which seems to be Team HARD cars. I miss the age old Plato/Neal rivalry as well.

Maybe a controversial opinion but perhaps it's time for a shake up similar to when it went to these NGTC cars, and maybe some limitations on the TBLs aswell

Like I said. Plenty of info all over the 'net about what goes into building these cars. They are more standard car than many series and less standard car that many series.

They key point, going back to the original post, is that the majority are built from a stripped down "normal" car. Some teams do get bodyshells direct from the factory.
