I wonder if the NAPA cars will have their turbo boost dialled back to give other teams a chance this weekend at Snet?

What was the reason for Dan Cams ride height failure in race 3? Had he sustained damage somewhere? Real shame after a great charge.
Good question. If the car had sustained damage, it would fail the ride height test on that corner (or side).
But to fail all round the whole car looks suspiciously like bad set-up.

I've only been watching for a few year, but why do the NAPA cars have more boost?

Do they have more boost or just a superior chassis?
The boost figures are published at the start of the season. The NAPA cars were given more boost than the other teams. This boost level was to be reviewed after the Snetterton rounds.

Christ just keep it on the track.
As easy as that then?I think that after the "lively" pre-race drivers' meeting this morning and the rather large numbers of track times that were removed from qualifying today, means that it it not as easy as "keeping it on the track".
Tim Harvey is clearly frustrated, as noted with his commentary today, and he has said before about the new track limits rules: “It's policed by somebody with eyes watching, and they only will police it at certain corners, not at every corner. Now, if it’s a rule it should apply universally to every corner at every track, and be policed in a way that can be accurate and consistent. And it’s not. So it’s not a rule that is fit for purpose.”
Racers like to race, and of course they are going to use as much of the track as they possibly can. But if you're right on the edge of these "track limits" and the tyres hit a bit of dirt or gravel and shuffle slightly, is that really the driver's fault?
As with the rule on the start grid if the car is out of position by a few centimetres (and this could not in a million years affect the race), and with track limits, the punishment does not fit the crime.

Bring back Wookie. Hard to get behind our new competitor poster with his recent driving style, got another warning from the bosses for taking out and ruining another drivers race this weekend. Seems like the driving style taught at team dynamics is hard to shake off.
Really would be useful to know what the fk you are talking about?trackdemon said:
Anyone know what happened? Found it odd there seemed to be no mention (although tbf I didn't watch every last minute of it!) and I've not seen any news elsewhere. Just seemed a bit odd considering his profile in the sport...
What do you think happened?(Bobby Thompson.)

Team Hard.... news on the street, Rob Huff is Racing.
You'll have to have a word with your "street" mates:Huff was never going to be racing in BTCC this weekend as he is racing in TCR World Tour.

The Touring Car Times article is written from the BTCC press release that I quoted earlier.

Not sure how true it is but to use the other layout would also require using the new put building and apparently Silverstone charge more to use that....
Apparently? That layout was to be used in 2020 as Silverstone was on the original BTCC calendar twice that year. But then something happened.

Hill's "pass" was diabolical. I'm gobsmacked they let that stand. You can't overtake with the car completely off the circuit like that.
Jake Hill's onboard footage showed how Cook squeezed him as he was alongside which the TV footage didn't show as the camera angles switched.Gassing Station | General Motorsport | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
