Quali: If it rains between the two groups sssions, then the lap times will be affected. It won’t affect the first six in each group though... who will progress anyway.
(Thirteenth backwards could become a Lottery.... & is Lord Gow working towards his 24 car grid.)
Hybrid power doubled too...

Now just got to sort out the track limit & ride height regs.
NB: So glad that the Legends are back.

Companies house shows charges against 4 of the race cars recently by AMICUS ASSET FINANCE GROUP LIMITED. Lot's of recent changes of persons with significant control. None of it shows a stable company. Tough business, racing... https://find-and-update.company-information.servic...
Does anyone know, are BMW likely to stick with the 3 series for 2024?
I'm surprised that they've not switched to the 1 series given they're the only rear wheel drive cars on the grid.
I only wonder whether they might switch to the new two series?
I feel in terms of performance, they've dropped back vs some of the top fwd guys.

Big numbers in the accounts of Bath Taxis Ltd too who until Sept 2023 had significant control of Team Hard.https://find-and-update.company-information.servic...

No idea, but I would love if they went with the M3 touring. I'm surprised that they've not switched to the 1 series given they're the only rear wheel drive cars on the grid.

Seems unlikely to me , RWD is the go to for a racing car .I'm surprised that they've not switched to the 1 series given they're the only rear wheel drive cars on the grid.

As long as BMW are producing a smallish RWD car they will be using it in the BTCC , as long as
Lord Gow doesn't ban RWD or use the BofP to try and rid of it .

Ultimately it's a BoP series though and FWD seems to be more competitive at the moment (or at least well enough to be stronger than the 3-series). As long as BMW are producing a smallish RWD car they will be using it in the BTCC , as long as

RWD complicates the BoP too and I personally think AG will do away with it if he gets half a chance.
I also wouldn't be surprised if BMW were pushing for a new car and as it stands a slippery FWD coupe like a 2-series is probably the way to go. The only question will be whether BMW will put their hand in their pocket or if WSR can raise the dosh to develop it, as it's a significant investment in spares and kit on top of developing a new car to change from RWD to FWD or vice versa.

The new 2 series is RWD isn't it? unless you mean the they'd convert it to FWD?RWD complicates the BoP too and I personally think AG will do away with it if he gets half a chance.

The rear driven 2 series coupe wouldn’t be eligible, not enough doors.

He means the 2 series Gran Coupe, which is FWD.

ah yes, there's two 2 series', I'd forgot. The rear driven 2 series coupe wouldn’t be eligible, not enough doors.
and yes, you're also right about the other one only being two doors. Shame, I think it would look great in BTCC.

The beauty of BMW's naming strategy means that there are now both FWD and RWD 2-series from completely different platforms
At least it's not confusing... Edited by SpudLink on Thursday 30th November 20:03
