Anyone watch Long Beach on IMSA TV last night?

Can’t believe how far Hindhoff and team have fallen, they managed to get every call wrong, didn’t realise Porsche didn’t take tires and called the Taylor overtake the best thing ever … while he clearly cut the corner. Why do they keep rolling that old mess out?

Top five cars in Hypercar 15 mins before the end, five different manufacturers. Love to see it.

Also, even though it has kinda crap race pace, I just love the wingless look of the Peugeot. What a gorgeous thing.

Not a classic WEC race but Toyota’s invincibility cloak slipped a bit today.

As far as I could tell there wasn’t a single retirement due to mechanical issues - the pits were very quiet other than for routine stops (Toyota #7 excepted). I guess a reflection of how professional the teams are these days.

Pity the Vanwall got binned, a very pretty car.

Complete with matching pit buggy..

ByKolles have had that Quad for a LOT of years. I saw it in the paddock at LM24 perhaps five years ago.

Yep, they were poor on Saturday night. Seemed a bit flustered and missed all the key points.

Enjoyed the WEC race, the ad free Discovery + / Eurosport feed worked well. Toyota might be finding their pace is trimmed before Le Mans.

Anyone who enjoyed (aurally) the Panoz years at Le Mans will rejoice at the Cadillac soundtrack at La Sarthe this year..

Looking forward to the Cadillacs.. x 3. Still remember the sound of a panoz, I reckon from the Houx campsite you could hear them the whole way round. Great days.

Probably worth mentioning this weekend's NLS race, BMW Junior Team which includes Dan Harper took the win. David Pittard also had an incredible drive, double stinting to take the Ferarri 296 from 18th on the grid to the lead just before the halfway point.

Unfortunately, the team had to swap one of the brake discs in the stop which cost them the race but some great close racing.

Don't think I've ever seen the race live on YT

Some in car team cameras, yes, but not the proper race feed

Being an avid ever paying for stuff chap. you can often find a feed that shows it live but it usually gets st down eventually, and onboards are live yes but not the same.

Euro sport is perhaps the cheap option but their advert breaks totally ruin the race in every way. Every 15 minutes or quicker on the dot for 24 hours it is awful

Ah bloody hell. I've screwed myself because I signed up for discovery+ using vodafone which blocks live events for some reason. I can't figure out how to "upgrade" it now either. I'll just buy iptv since it's easier. Madness.

Unfortunately, whilst it looks gorgeous, the 499P doesn’t wail like a Ferrari should, it just sounds like any old twin turbo V6. Pity they couldn’t slot in a normally aspirated V12….

And therefore be hopelessly off the pace!

I think complaining about sound in such new eras is a little unfair, the cars all look fairly different, a V6 has always been a preferred method for turbo cars going back 30 odd years so it is unlikely to change

There is usually an ad free channel on discovery/ Eurosport. Certainly has been the last few years I have watched it. Get the whole month for < £10 and have all the qualifying etc too.

Except it isn't.

Has done well in the two rounds of IMSAWEC so far.

You should be worried about Peugeot. But Le Mans being Le Mans the ACO will give them a twenty lap head start or something.

And they still won't win

Yes, that’s the way to do it. There’s an advert free stream on Discovery Plus as well. Haven’t watched an advert for years.
