Some of the most frustrating coverage I have seen by whoever films this crap, they are NASCAR yes?

End of the race, Pumpelly flying through the field, and we are made to watch, clearly as some sort of decision made for the benefit of Hyundai a three car TCR race. How much are they paying for this I wonder, works car, herta running it, you bet they demand coverage late race.

yes its good, but you have two screens, we get a car being towed off. and 4 laps in a row of TCR garbage.

Also that Mustang is a joke, cmon America we all know you like your own winning, but it was pulling out of slipstream and still passing easily, those two Ford works cars were SOOO much faster than anything

end of race footage totally ruined this race for me obsessing with TCR, they are a bit part in this race. sorry

I noticed this as well I was expecting 2 screens one for GS and one for TCR so both battles could be seen. Comms were commentating over GS while the laps of TCR were on. Happened earlier in the race missed a whole battle for the lead as they were showing TCR.

150k to run a season in the MX5 race, with 250k prize fund for the champion!!! That's according to the commentators, there was me thinking it would be a good addition to the BTCC package, Ginetta Juniors it is not!
No, Ginetta Juniors is almost as much for a season without the massive prize fund. biggrin

Was very frustrating and must have been for comms too, Hindy was basically talking about the GT4 battle for laps on end while the screen was showing three cars in a line racing in TCR. And that was going out over the circuit tannoy too.

I do think it must be to do with Hyundai and paying for a certain amount of coverage and having to pay a fine if you do not. Something like that.

Pumpelly overtook about 4 cars in consecutive laps in GT4, none of it seen live.

Agreed the racing in both classes was close, lead battle in GT4 was ridiculous as Ford clearly had half to a second a lap on the field, BOP disaster but hey Ford in America you knew it was coming. But you were showing two screens a few times have the tech, makes me think even more it was something else, not just poor directing or producing.

He, or RLM, do that a lot. You will be watching the race unfold but they studiously ignore what is going out on the live feed.

God awful coverage. Only feed that works on my ‘smart’ tv is RLM, but can’t get full screen.

A joke.

Bit disappointed by Shaw having a pop at the Porsche lad complaining about the BOP, right now every Porsche is over 50 seconds down in the GT3 class and in GTD they are ALL a lap down

Sorry Jeremy IMSA may be your pay masters but if you have spent millions on a car and it is utterly hampered by BOP you have every right to bh in the biggest race of the year.

IMSA you got their BOP so very wrong.

Agreed that they got the BOp wrong, because all the lap time is lost on the straights. IMSA have telemetry access, so they’d know if the cars were at 100% throttle or not.

Last year the 911 was well matched, this year lost 5mm intake, now slower than all in a line. Feels an easy call to pull them back into the pack!

I also wonder - are RLL just st, or do BMW always get the shaft on IMSA BOP as well?

The BMWs are younger in the development process than the others I believe

I also think the M4 is perhaps a European style car, and has not been that successful in anything so far apart from N24 style stuff, Am sure WRT will get it sorted and have already proved decent so far in Dubai.

Seems to me tha Acura is considerably faster than the other GTP cars at the moment, Braun clearly being careful behind Zander after he swerved a bit. GT looks close, Lexus seem the best bu AMG also very quick with Aston and that old NSX is good too as is the Inception Macca never understood why more Yanks dont race them, they sell tons of cars in the USA too, Ferrari not far off in a new car and where Porsche should be 5mm reduction is insane and needs to be questioned in my opinion, dismiss Hindy and Shaw they are on IMSA payroll so will not say anything negative about IMSA, but that is a crazy decision, and I am not a Porsche fan by any means, but it was obvious last week they were miles off the pace and have basically been give backmarker status here. I know they win a lot, but heck

Understood, but they were always off the pace in GTE over 2 different cars as well - I can’t remember them ever being at the front of the performance spread?
