I find it quite bizarre why the N24 system isn't implemented. It's fair, simple and keeps the race honest.

I understand the reasons for this system, but I don't like it. I don't like the way it resets the 'race'. It's not like Safety Cars are unusual, having to wait 25/30 minutes every time is farcical, with the gaps all being removed.
I always wonder why they over-complicate safety cars - it's all a bit IMSA/US racing.....As you say, the N24 seems to work, probably why they don't use it.

There are those crying about the BoP situation and the fact it was all changed very quickly before the race, and I can see that to a point.

And what also annoys me is the ACO basically telling teams and drivers that it is int he rules they are not allowed to talk about it.

All I saw was two cars clearly faster than the rest, and one GT car literally miles faster than anyone else in its class
Saying that they won't change the BoP, then doing it is pretty poor. Absolutely no transparency - at least in horse racing everyone knows when weights go up. And then having the nerve to tell people they can't discuss it......Really???

BoP is a neccesary evil, but be consistent with it; have two changes per season, and keep to it. If they've got it wrong, that's their fault.

Imagine if all the Brits that went over for Le Mans actually supported their home event? That would be a healthy crowd. Can't help but feel most go for the non race activities, and the actual race is a secondary concern.

But I am in the minority to raise an eyebrow as to most people F1 is now a sport in its own right. Judging by my last visit to the GP in 2022 (which I enjoyed) very , very few of the many people I'd chatted to had ever been to a club meeting , hillclimb or even British GT . If I'd shown them the picture I took in 1987 of the pit garage, mechanics working late on the Ferraris and me standing 10 feet away , they'd have assumed it was photoshopped or I had VIP access. .
I'm afraid you're right - and I don't think it's an accident that this has happened. Lots of general sports media have a section purely for 'F1'...and ignore the rest of motorsport. And this never used to be the case.
