In the absence of any F1 this weekend, thought i'd stick this up if people were looking for an alternative fix! 136 cars in total, should be a cracking race.

Nice to see the old Manta is still going strong. This was it racing in 2019.

Indeed, they've done a fantastic job on the rebuild!

It's a shame they don't have a stream for the classics race as well.

Good shout OP.

All of us F1 fans should make a point of supporting whatever other motorsport is on this weekend, whether live or on the telly.

Was thinking the same, they sound so much better than 99% of the modern stuff, and sure make one hell of a spectacle being thrashed around the Nordschleife cool Probably not as 'interesting'/relatable to 10 year olds though so deemed not worth the effort of streaming.

I think there is a stream for the classic, but just with German chuntering.

Favourite race on the calendar. Shame there's no Glickenhaus this year. The SP-X entry of two AMG GT2s seems a bit odd.

I think it's fantastic the Manta and things like the Dacia are still allowed to run, long may it continue.

Are the Mercedes GT2s just lumped in SP-X because there isn't anywhere else for them?

Brilliant. free coverage on the Nurburgring YouTube channel so far on the quali sessions.

I'm a bit worried right now though, because 3 different Porsche 992 GT3 teams, on 2 types of tyre have suffered rear punctures...

I seem to remember Lamborghini were plagued with similar problems a few years back.

Pretty sure they're mostly rear left aswell - commentators seemed adamant its the BoP changes (mostly the rake angle) that has contributed the most, which makes sense given they were fine on the puncture front yesterday.

I’m almost as taken with the fans and the campsites as the racing. Such an epic place. I may go next year I think.

I think this one might be more interesting to see the okd stuff going well.

Big crash in practice for this poor E30
Amazingly after destroying it into a ball on one of the fastest part of the circuit the driver side door still opened!

And a scary moment for this Lamborghini driver ...

Watching the Classic..

A mental array of cars

When’s the last time you saw an Alfasud, Lancia Beta Coupe or a Renault 12

All racing here

Did I also see a Simca which is a car I have never seen in real life?

Was at the ring last Sunday and surprised to see so many tents and caravans all setup, a week in advance. They really do make a commitment to the event and vast quantities of beer - saw one lot had towed a fridge/freezer trailer (like a horse box) which was rammed with beer !! Doof doof techno music was blaring out so not sure much sleep is had !!
Really does seem to be one hell of a party and they have had nice weather thus far so hope it continues
Having done a lap of the track as a passenger in a BMW M5CS my admiration of all drivers out there is huge...must be damn scary in the dark

The campsites are certainly several notches beyond those at Le Mans.

However the cars people arrive in all seem to be old sheds which might suggest no-one dares bring anything decent, especially if you are planning to pitch up in the heart of the action.

There’s a crew that turn up (saw them on videos last year and also in clips of people arrival campsites this year) with a trailer that has a petroleum pressure washer, connected up to an old yellow telephone box, which is their shower.

End of classic race was good. How mental do those Cosworth engines in the Mercedes 190 sound?!
