Very impressive but he was the only driver in the field with experience of driving a car like that on a street circuit. Ovals will be a different matter. Mind you Scotty adapted to them pretty quickly. Makes sense why he only signed a 1 year contract with 888 now. NASCAR bound in 2025 for sure.
Yes, that was why i alluded to the fact that their new Gen NASCAR cars are very similar to our new Gen3 cars.I think he could have beaten anyone one the day even if they were more experienced. His style is so much different to theirs, I heard in the televised broadcast on Fox sports that Kyle Busch was following him & trying to learn his technique.Ovals?Yes, absolutely, whole different ball game as Marcos Ambrose found out, but then again he was a master on the street circuits.Watkins Glen comes to mind that particular one was a fantastic win for Marcos. My stepson has actually played against SVG on E Racing, he is exceptionally hard to beat.

Official race replay if you missed it:

I think IMSA/GT3 is where SVG's future lay. In a NASCAR podcast with Corey LaJoie last week:

[i[Best car/track combo?[/i] McLaren GT3 at Bathurst

Bucket list race? N24

Not sure Gizzy can tolerate a NASCAR 36 race schedule predominantly turning left and racing nearly every week whereas GT3 offers options.

He’s already done GT3 though and said he isn’t interested in it full time. Already won the IGTC Europe championship, also won the Bathurst 12hr in a 650S GT3 and held the lap record till last year (from 2016) He wants to do the N24 to tick it off the list but not interested in GT3 full time. He’s happy racing every weekend so NASCAR may suit him, if he doesn’t find the ovals too boring.

Might not leave enough time for him to keep dabbling in rallying, drifting, time attack etc stuff he enjoys though.

Hold the front page - Racing Driver Knows How To Heel And Toe shocker . There's even an unintentionally hilarious YouTube video explaining the dark art of the educated right foot . That will be the same art even a clod like me learned to do on his dad's car after passing his test. Mind you, that was in what now feels like Pre-Cretaceous Period .

Now that is a real racing driver name , It doesn't rival the late , great Dick Trickle but it's up there with Todd Bodine and Sterling Marlin .
