RE: British GTs Admit Tuscans
Discussion
Colin Blower has been running GT Tuscans for god knows how long, yes, they have a few problems from time to time just like any other race car,but he manages to keep them going. In a number of european series, they run for 3/4 hours albeit that you need to give them some serious attention after each event, so whats new about that? Lets get real here, or do we want to get to the point where (1) you dont enter a race unless you can guarantee to finish!! and (2) you don't try to do something different.

Jesus, what's going on here... we all want to see the Tuscans in GT, don't we ? Well, I want to. They are fast and furious but need to get endurance proof, so why this sort of ? Martin, it's nice to hear that your soul is still in Blackpool after all, mine is as well. Oh, forgot that, the new version of the calendar will be on it's way tomorrow for you Dave and for Shorty at the weekend when I've been at the print shop. No more fighting on here please. Peace everyone...

Of course we do, they will be huge fun to watch !
My comments are of the "it's not just bolt on a spoiler and off you go" variety. Besides my favourite driver comments above (welcome home Short-one) there are the other bits and pieces like....has an AJP8 ever been run through restrictors (?), stiffening work on the chassis required, location/protection of the fuel cell & driver, fact that they have lift at anything above 10mph etc. etc.
Sure, not beyond the realms of possibility but it's not going to be cheap. If Veloqx with all their sponds are looking at old Lotus sport Elise's as a viable entry platform, someone will have to find some serious wedge (Rod & Colin) to convert one of their challenge cars.
Having seen/lived the pain & pleasure of the Cerbera, TuscanR & Mosler, someone else can gladly have a go at this one.
Roll-on next season, I'm already bored.

We don't see that converting an existing challenge car is the right way to go, it would be an expensive route, and you end up losing a much needed car which are in strong demand for the tuscan challenge. As this GT entry is restricted to only 2 cars, there are several existing GT Tuscans with engines which could be used, so this is the likely course of action. We need all the Tuscan Challenge cars we can lay our hands on due to the success and continued high level of interest in the series
Just voted YES in the should tuscans be in GT cup class. I can't beleive that 10% of pistophiles out there said NO!!! I reckon it's just "Mr Wheeler" and Baldrick Voting over and over again!!! Could be quite embaressing if they consistently out-perform the T350C racers!
Having said that, Only 20 votes had been cast. So maybe they only voted once each.
