For those of you who have thought about entering this, take a look at 2) in the Terms+Conditions.
It says that entries will be rejected from holders of 'CURRENT' race licences.
What the public don't realise is that every licence needs renewing at the end of the year, and E&M select the 1000 drivers after Jan 10th.
See where this is going?

Just had a look at E&M about this and don't see what point you are trying to make regarding a scam?????

If licences need to be renewed at the end of each year and they are choosing their 1000 at the begining of the next doesn't this mean that they are making sure they don't get competition drivers as they will have renewed their licences before the competition starts. Which is the whole point of the competition! By "CURRENT" I'm sure they mean someone who has held a licence and they will reject holders of racing licences new or not renwed as they are looking for entrants who have no racing experience AT ALL!!!!!

Do they sell E&M in the UAE then?

Dumb Ass!!

There are 100s of comp. licence holders out there, who will have seen the ad for the driver challenge, and deliberatly not renewed their licences.
I rang the SYW place, and they said that they only research the entrants after the closing date.
In case you still havn't understood, they are deliberatly looking for experienced racers, otherwise, why did they say 'CURRENT'??
Anyway, you don't honestly think they would want joe publics driving their F3, Frenault and F1 car, do you?

Why not, you can pay your money and drive an F1 car a whole lot newer than a 1985 Tyrrell in the UK or in France.

Maybe you should take off your bonnet and let that bee out!

Do you immediately think that anyone who doesn't subscribe to your point of view is a dumb ass (incidentally, this is an English forum, not an American one ), or do you just have something against Fourwheeldrift?

Chill out

Scam, Schmam. It'll be won by some kid who's raced karts for 10 years.

If you don't fancy your chances of winning then don't enter. If you think it's a cheap way of getting some track time and having a laugh, then pop down your corner shop for a copy of E&M. It's not that hard a choice.

It was Phantum's (sic) cross posts that were locked.

He's probably off posting on other message boards "SCAM! Pistonheads Censors in league with E&M"

Phantum, there's no need to threaten us. You're very welcome here as long as you don't feel the need to be rude to people.

Err not following something here phantum - firstly you said that it was a scam as people could let there license's expire they could enter - this made it sound like you thought this was unfair on us non-racer types and shouldn't be allowed.

Now your saying that you've got shed loads of experience but no dosh, superfit, won most things you've entered are a PR mans dream and will possibly win.

Have I missed something here - what point are you trying to make by arguing for both sides?
