Cheers Mark, although I reckon the Griff must help fill the gap left by departure of your S?

I find that digital cameras are quite flattering when it comes to hiding the various stone chips, blemishes etc. Having said that, I had a bit of a wash and polish session yesterday (the S, not me), and she's sat outside in the car park today looking fine!

Here's the original site!

www.formula1dream.com

I remember Marcus Pye of Autosport putting his name to it. It is organised by Tim Matthews from Worcestershire. A few friends of mine have entered and sent in the videos.

Sorry to come in a bit late on this one but I feel that the honorable Mr Phantum has a point on the E&M thing. It may not be that E&M are scamming the public but we need to bear in mind that the sole reason they are running this competition is to sell more copies. Thus, we can perhaps assume that the rules allow a certain amount of, erm - "choice" on their part. The last thing they want is some dopey Croydon Saxo boy planting a F1 in the first available armco with E&M plastered all over it.

Anyone remember the Marlboro Challenge in the 80's. I sent in about 100 applications and all I got was a load of stickers. I've been on the JPS ever since - that showed them!!

By the way Phantum - you mentioned you live 6 hours train ride from Lincolnshire......so what part of Cambridgeshire do you live in??!!

Steve, well done, it sounds like you have more than one brain cell. Unlike the rest.
I predict there will be almost 100 of us ex-licence holders, so they may try to cover it up, or it will damage their PR for next year's comp.

Hmmm - Self Confidence, Arrogance or just obnoxious?

Let's ask the audience!

Phantum - just a word of advice, if you are going to come along here, or anywhere else for that matter, flinging insults at people be very, very sure you know who they are first.

I for one look forward to seeing whether you perform as badly on the track as you do with your interpersonal skills here.

That would involve going off at the first corner I would guess, or possibly stalling on the grid!

Even if you were team bosses or MDs, you still have no idea who I am.

If you don't care, why do you keep coming back to see what we all think of you?

P.S. I'm not a team boss or an M.D., and I don't give a toss who you are. You just come across as being a right twat.

OK then -I have no interest whatsoever in who you are Phantum - But seeing as how you are such a potential PR liability I have taken the trouble to forward a link to the guy responsible for selecting the Michelin scholarship.

Since you've helpfully left a few clues - when you applied, a bit about your 'racing' background etc, it should be relatively simple for him to take this into account with his shortlisting.

As Captain mainwaring often said - Stupid Boy!!

Wow!, I'm so flattered.
You took the trouble to SLANDER me with such impressive style. I'm truly touched.
I'm sure Mr Sugden will base all of his selection process around your opinion of me.

ps, Theres a difference between joking around in a web forum, and taking things far too seriously.

Where did it say I had offered any opinion?

Tim will doubtless have his own view of the way you conduct yourself. There is a world of difference between good-natured banter and your own unique 'style'.

Any professional in any field would expect high standards of presentation from those around them - Judge for yourself whether you would qualify on that basis.
