She used to work in GPW's shop at Silverstone and I found her quite rude there - I hope she's improved from a PR perspective now!...never thought she was a good driver in any case

I've never rated her either but:-

Scottish driver Susie Stoddart was again the quickest of the rookies in her Mercedes, outpacing Vanina Ickx, Daniel la Rosa and Mathias Lauda.
Can't really argue with that.

I don't rate Mathais Lauda (tail end charlie in A1GP), so doesn't probably mean anything either

Nor me - classic case of trading on a name - I've been waiting for Piquet to trip up too....

They will both be no where - - read more on Lauda - useless by all accounts.

Maybe Stddart just blew the right team manager.

Legge sounds a huge amount better and I hope SHE does really well with Vasser showing her the ropes.

Daimler-Benz seem to be supporting a few British drivers! I wonder if this has anything to do with Project Kimber buying the rights to the Smart Roadster?

Susie Stoddart has failed to impress in any formula - big backing - tons of PR
Chicken out of F3 - because she was out of her league
She'll do nothing in the DTM

Katherine Legge has done a good job in the US but Danica Patrick is probably still head of "girls"

Out of the following which one do you think will be F1 World Champion first ?

Katherine Legge
Susie Stoddart
Ruth Senior
Sarah Playfair
Pippa Mann
Jodi Hemming

I don't think that'll happen, for no other reason than Ickx being in a brand new team (Midland) and they will struggle with setup since they have no comparative data to work with. Stoddart seems to have landed a bloody good seat with AMG-Mercedes.

Ickx is by far the better driver though, I seem to remember her being very quick in LMES, in a Courage or something like that.

Anyway, we ALL know that Bernd Schneider is the king...

It was a post-modern ironic statement

I agree, Schneider is past his peak, but its always good to see him on track. Very disappointed with Hakkinen, I expected him to blow everyone's doors off. Alesi too, to a lesser extent. Frentzen seems to be there to boost his retirement fund...

Hakkinen did the job at Spa, though, and was only pipped by Schneider in the championship at the final race. He'll be right up there this year.

I hope Vanina does okay, but I think she's got a heck of a fight on her hands. She is quick and amazed me (and the rest of the team) at both Spa and LM last year. I think there's an ulterior motive though - to maybe eventually get a drive in an Audi sportscar.

What, someone named Ikcx, in a sportscar, probably at the Le Mans 24hrs ??? That's a very vivid imagination you have...
