First Female F1 World Champion

If it's anyone it won't be Katherine Legge. Anyone who witnessed her stupidity at Rockingham in F3, and her messing up pole in a Formula Renault, and crashing on her first F1 test etc etc will know she's nowhere near competent enough to challenge the already cynical preconceptions of women in motorsport.
In F1 you're looking at no-nonsense, no petulance, and keeping quiet and toeing the line until you're Schumacer/Coulthard. I know very talented boys who were thrown out way before F1 test driver stage because they just weren't disciplined/even-tempered/dilligent enough to please the bosses.
The girls who could, in my opinion, fit in with the culture are Danica and Susie Stoddart. However, that's before you encounter the next hurdle: attitudes.
Motorsport is sexist - women aren't taken seriously at any level, even if some put on a facade that women are welcome in the garage or the cockpit, the reality is that they're viewed as an annoyance or as incompetent.
Motorsport is a closed shop - even if you're a guy, if you're not moving in the right circles, you won't get far.
