What's the betting that, if (and it's a big if) Schuey gets past Alonso that Massa suddenly develops some sort of minor engine fault that slows him enough for Schuey to pass him on the last or penultimate lap and take the win? evil

Before safety car he had sometihng like a 9 second lead, after safety car Schumacher is 3rd and about 4 seconds behind.

The safety car negated all the work done by Ferrari at the start of the race!

Hasnt exactly ruined the race though has it!

it was just from your comment you made it sound as if Luizzi had driven into the side of schumacher or something!
which would've been poetic justice had he have

I reckon that the next 6 laps are going to be fairly pivotal for the championship.

Edit: Hmmm. I reckon James Allen agrees - he's saying pretty much the same thing now.

Schumacher needs a kamikaze move, just throw it into one of the corners, he HAS to pass him!

Indeed. And what he doesn't need to do is have a scruffy lap and drop a few 10ths (like he just has).

It's going to be close though.

I think those last 10 laps were very telling for Schumacher...

In a race full of overtaking, with the fastest car, he was unable to pass a similarly skilled driver with a car struggling for grip..

Compare that with Hungary, where Alonso passed Schumi on track...

I'd say that confirms Michael is a fast driver, just not a racer - he always wins by fast laps in clear air and good strategy, NOT by passing on track..

Oh, and well done Massa - very well deserved!

Ferrari WILL win every race left this season,

Just need Alonso to fall off the track, sorry rephrase that, I hope his car breaks down. I dont want to wish a crash on ANYONE.

Indeed - Schuey did look a little ragged in places. But he did also drive very well too.

I think he's still a very good driver, but his sun has definitely passed its zenith. It will be interesting to see when he chooses to retire - just past his peak (ie. soon) or later.

I was reffering more to his inability to put together a convincing move - only once did he look to have a genunie opportunity to get passed, and he fluffed it...

In the fastest car, with more grip - for 10 laps he couldnt make it stick once... in a race with a huge number of overtakes at various different places...

Although, he did seem genuinely happy for Massa - which reedems the 'human' character i suppose

I cannot remember team orders being quite so blatant. Despite their having been outlawed they still exist in Maranello obviously.

Surely common sense dictates that if one of the drivers can win the championship then the team HAS to be able to say to the other driver to move over!

F1 is a team sport.

Rather than stacking the cars in the pit lane, what they should have done was tell Massa to stay out and concentrate on Schumacher... They shot themselves in the foot with that!

What do you not agree with?

Where is the sense in a team allowing a driver to win who has no chance in the championship?

Ferrari and Schumacher are the reason team orders were outlawed!

if Schumi had beaten Massa into the first corner or passed on track - then he could've been first...

the rules are you cant pass under a safety car - so it would've been illegal to swap them in the pits...
