Ferrari cannot afford to damage their reputation by doing anything untoward to help Schumacher win the title. He's leaving, they don't want any carry-over sanctions for next year and their focus has to be the constructors' title.

I don't recall McLaren ever cheating - they had the brake steer system, they tried to have their regenerative power system approved (ironic that 10 years later the FIA now wants teams to go that route), but neither contravened any regulations. I have heard though that Benetton, with Brawn and Schumcaher on-board, natch...did run illegal software on their car.

They are graping at straws, unless Alonso's car explodes dear old Schumi does not stand a chance, Alonso needs just one point, should not be too difficult.

Can Rossi win the championship, that is a far more interesting question...
