Anyone going to Silverstone this weekend for the final round of this years BTCC ?!?

Should be an exciting round, with the drivers, manufacturers, and team championships all being contested!

Fingers crossed Jason Plato and Seat Sport grab all 3 !!!

No-one usually goes with me, but I'm quite happy to go on my own, makes it easier for photos. Plus I have friends in some of the teams too.

I might go along to this on Sunday, especially as I only live about 20 minutes from Silverstone. Anyone know what the weather's supposed to be doing?

I'm heading down with the lady (she apparently really enjoyed Brands, so i'm dragging her along again).

Any tips on the best places to sit/stand? I'm assuming the certain places are far better than others?

I should be there. I have a big PH sticker on the back of my wheelchair, so if you see me say hello!

I have 4 spare adult tickets and 8 child tickets on my desk here for Sunday. If you want any let me know.
They will have to be collected from either the City or NW Kent.

We're going tomorrow. Any advice on where's good for taking photos? I'm not an expert on the Silverstone circuit.

I believe it's on the National Circuit this time. Therefore, about the only place you're going to get a fence-free shot (unless you've got a media pass or you're about 8'6" is on the exit of Becketts from the inside of the circuit. You won't need a massive lens here either.

If you have got a massive lens, you can just about clear the fencing from the outside of Copse (there's a blue rail on the concrete hardstanding as you walk up to Maggots that you can climb on) and also at Luffield. You need to be on the highest part of the spectator area so you may have a problem with other people's heads in your way, especially at something as busy as the BTCC.

Good luck! thumbup

I'm going along tomorrow with a mate. First BTCC race that I've been to so should be fun.

Hope you enjoy it, but don't make the mistake of judging the other races by Silverstone standards.

The likes of Croft, Oulton Park, Snetterton and even Donington all offer a much better viewing experience IMHO.

What was going on with Matt Neal's dance when he got out of the car? Is he trying to emulate Alonso wacky celebrations I wonder?

Hi there,

Spent a few hours in the fog at Silverstone yesterday for the final round of the British Touring Car Championship.
It was qualifying yesterday with the final three races taking place today.
I took loads of pictures and have posted most of them on my website.

Please take a look using this link (there are three pages): -

Let me know what you think.

Regards

Tim
