What Pipe?

Name that exhaust and win a day at Brands BTCC

British exhaust manufacturer Quicksilver is sponsoring Tom Onslow-Cole’s BMW for the Brands Hatch round of the BTCC, broadcast live on ITV on Sunday the 19th of August.

To celebrate, PH has 2 tickets to give away, which grant entrance to the circuit along with entrance to the team’s hospitality suite for the day.

The PHer who can correctly name the make & model of car from which each exhaust shown below belongs to gets the tickets (in the event of a tie, a winner will be drawn from those with the most correct answers).

Most of the answers can be found by doing a little bit of homework on the quicksilver website at www.quicksilverexhausts.com

Please send you answers to competitions@pistonheads.com

Fond memories of wrestling an aftermarket exhaust onto my VW camper there with number 1.

Good luck to the winner. Feeling a bit down with a cold at the moment, that's my excuse not having an idea on every exhaust. Easy job for a Kwik Fit Fitter...

1. Not sure.
2. ??? Looks like a steam train.
3. There is even some car there and I don't know.
4. Think I know. But which model, they all look the same.
5. Ahh, that jogs the memory.
6. That's number wang.
7. Got that one.
8. Crazy exhaust. All sideways. That's not number wang.
9. Ahh, old friend.
10. Great, one of the few exhaust I can idenity and there is half a car in the picture.
11. Got it.
12. Looks nice.
13. Hmmm, tricky, but I think I know.
14. Just need to pop out and check something in the car park.

That's because thicko here was trying too be too clever and used two 00's and not one 0 and one zero........

I stand corrected.
Please, take a seat. hehe

Man allday I have spet researching these god forsken exhausts....and I still missed out number 2 and the square one that looks lke it should have come from a porker but did not... aaarrrggghhhh.....

I realy fancied a freebie to the BTCC. Anyway it has been good fun though listening to those notes bellowing from the exhuasts.

It has made me bang my head on the wall for having a custom made quad for my e39 when I could have gone to Quicksilver.....

Ohh "ignorance sucks as* !!!
next year then

No.4 is easy to find on their website, and you'll be surprised!

Hello fellow PHers. Quicksilver here just to let you know that the competition is closing on Sunday so get your entries in if you haven't already. Hopefully PH will name and shame the winner and post the correct answers as well.

Cheers,

The QS Team

Hello everyone.

We've been working hard to check all of the results and have an official winner who got 11 answers correct. We're all for naming and shaming but we need to have the winner's permission first(or with any luck, they will gloat publicly on this form and expose themselves!). For all those who entered, the correct answers L-R, top to bottom are:

Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Aston Martin V12 Vanquish & Vanquish S
Bentley Continental GT
Ferrari Enzo
Ferrari F40
Ferrari F430
Jaguar XK & XKR 2007-on
Lamborghini Gallardo
Lotus Exige
Lotus Elise S2
McLaren F1
Porsche 911 GT3 (996 & 997)
Mini Cooper S R56
Range Rover Sport 4.2 SC

Hope you all wasted sufficient quantities of your employer's time without getting caught by the boss.

Regards,

The QS Team
