Hi, All I've just got a note about a 4 hour relay race on the
new 2.1 mile gp circuit at angelsey.

There has to be 5 drivers and anywhere between 1 and 5 cars.

entry is 160 per driver, so sounds good value..

regs and handicap based on the same sort of thing as the Birkett 6hr.

now the birkett is a 6hr but its on the silverstone national, the 2.1 mile anglesey gp circuit sounds like much more funs, and with a max of 42 starters there should be a bit more space.

classes are

a) ROADGOING (with MOT if applicable) CARS up to 1600ccs
b) ROADGOING (with MOT if applicable) CARS 1601ccs & over
c) SPORTS RACING CARS and non-roadgoing Sports Cars/Saloons up
to 1600cc
d) SPORTS RACING CARS and non-roadgoing Sports Cars/Saloons
1601ccs & over
e) Pre 1950-built cars or those recognised by the VSCC.
f)Pre 1970 cars or those recognised by L&CCC

So looking identical to the birkett again there

we'd fit into class d

anyone up for it?

I might be persuaded to bring no41 out of its winter slumber for that as thats about when im aiming to have her back together

The Chimmy won't be back together by then I'm afraid, am I right in thinking drivers can share cars? (Unlike the Birkett)

Who's the organising Club?

You can share cars in the Birkett - I did it a few years ago, although it's not that common.

Is anyone interested in this?

Hopefully we'll have the engine in the T350 rebuilt by then and will begin our winter testing schedule.

Any possibility of a TVR Birkett entry too?

I still reckon your best bet is to put your engine of choice in 55 rather than mod another chassis to take 55's suspension. even if that means getting the top rails on 55 modified.

from memory 55's chassis has been carefully stiffened and the cage welded in places to increase stiffness Ohh err missus

IIRC Keven said the rollcage is a bolt on one.

I will need to take the body off what ever way, and will compare the two chassies and work out what's easier. Plus will give me a better Idea on where all the parts are, so be easier for repairs / upgrades.

I will be getting advice before I do anything too drastic, just keeping my options open.
Hopfully I'll find you at siverstone for a chat. as you know a lot more than me.

should be fun what ever way I go.

Hi, Yes the cages are bolt in (rollcenter) but I thought Most of the cars run by moore racing had some welds added to make them stiffer. As standard they do move about a lot more... ( still bolted to the chassis whatever..

I remember testing 55 at one point and it was sooooo much stiffer than my tasmin. turning into cascades, im mine you could just feel the chassis twist and the car go into over steer. 55 just weighted up and gripped. Both cars had the same suspension setup at the time.
