I agree his dad has 'supported' him to get through to a works drive ( and i'm unsure of his financial deal in Zytek LMP this year) but for Vauxhall we pay him not him paying us.

Is that you paying him after his dad has paid you? There is no way a proper factory driver would be still being employed upon the results Tom Chilton has had in 2007.

Fair enough anyone can make the odd error but he has lost the plot this year, Donington Park was an embarresment for instance.

Doesn't the manufacturer crown been anything to you these days?

All joking aside, under the usual terms of a contract which is to say that the "team" will provide "the best available drivers" are you seriously saying that TC fitted in? No way, there is a wider commercial angle to this unless maybe Mike Nicolson is funding another bigger and better boat...

If Thompson had so much talent why the hell did he have to pull a stunt like he did at Oulton when (IIRC) driving for Honda he punted another driver off on the drag from Hilltop to Knickerbrook. This wasn't tapping the other guy under braking this was swerving across the track still at WOT and running the other driver onto the grass. From that stunt on, he has always been a tt in my eyes.

Your comments regarding Mat, show that you have no comprehension of competing in high level motorsport, so may I suggest that you keep your dribblings to yourself until you have some experience and can make a valid contribution.

Mat is a top driver and deserves to be where he is, a family run privateer team that is taking on the big budget teams is to be commended.

Every driver on that grid will have at some point made a mistake, but I can assure you that Mat is one of the fairer drivers out there, unlike the "I am not good enough so I will knock you off to get past" brigade, which to be honest made a complete joke out of some of the races.
