Howdy Britcarers, I know I've left this quite late, but I'm keen to help out in the pits for a team at this year's Silverstone 24hr.

I'm not a professional mechanic but I'm very confident in my ability and am not scared of any part of the car, having worked on my own and friends cars doing engine work, drivetrain changes and suspension, electrical, modifications, front and rear wheel drive. Mostly Japanese cars but in reality they're all pretty similar. In the past I have done some crewing at state rallies back in Australia.

Although equally I understand some jobs are best left to your professional mechanics so I'm happy to wipe windows, clean tyres or whatever!

Other than that I'm a mature 27, male, speak proper English (Australian), have my own car and will make myself available for Friday too. Unfortunately I do not have my own tools.

Cheers,
Zac

If you are prepared to help with one of the other races, it looks like we will be short staffed in the Sports 2000 race.
Hopefully all that will be required is manhandling bodywork, pit signalling and generally checking the car over.
Friday will be our busiest time, the race is 9:30am Saturday, so we will have to be race ready Friday evening. Qualifying is 4:45pm, so if we have any problems it could be a late finish.
We won last time out, so you would be with a team running at the sharp end of the grid.
