'get away'???

I think it showed his skill and maturity that he didnt lose his head with the tyre and managed to get the car to the pits without stuffing it or doing too much damage and only lost 2 places!

i wasnt being sarcastic...

I dont get why people are so anti-Hamilton on here - he is a fantastic driver, and for a rookie in his first season is doing a fantastic job..

hehe

I cant comment on him as a person - i like him more than Kimi - but then that isnt hard wink

Whats great about this season for me is, I'd be happy if either Hamilton, Alonso or Massa won hehe

Dont get me wrong, he used his head and managed to get the car back in one piece. Im just saying that Lewis seems to have a halo over his head and no matter what happens to him he almost always gets a good result.
Although, as the only driver to suffer a puncture, you could say he was unlucky!

Great first line from James Allen when the race started.

JA: Hamilton gets a good start.

cut to high shot - Raikonnen has already passed him.

And did everyone else miss Hamilton and Raikonnen jostling for position in the first couple of laps when we were riding with Heidfeld - or did I just imagine it?

i didn't have any sounds when i watched it but i saw on the screen a few times in car shots of the renaults with 'pit radio' being shown at the bottom. am i to assume that yet again we have been treated with the renault race engineers telling their drivers to keep pushing?

as i understand it these transmissions are delayed and someone screens them for language. so they know what they're about to transmit to tv - do they really need to let that sh*t through?

How about brundle at the end commenting about how sterile F1 is? I was thinking the same about how different a finish at the Moto GP is with Rossi doing wheelies, burnouts and running out of fuel compared to the slow crawl back to the pits that the F1 cars do. How come moto GP don't have to worry about parc fermé conditions and weights and they do in F1?

Like Kovelienen needed that crap, if he got that, what were they saying to Fisichella!

Watched the race in the sports Cafe in London. The majority there cheered when Lewis's tyre deflated. Me and 2 American guys were about the only people to go "Oh bugger".

Then the clever staff put music on just as Lewis started to be interviewed. What did he say? Was it just, "well that was disappointing, still see you at the next race"

James toseland would have had an interesting weigh in when he did the double at Brands the other week! He threw everything bar his boxers into the crowd, stopping every few minutes to toss another bit of his kit over the fence!
My favourite post win was Rossi stopping on his parade lap to climb the barriers and jump into a portaloo then come back out and finish off the lap! Ron Dennis would have flipped! hehe

frown dont flame me - I LOVE to see a brit doing so fantastically well at last...but... the more I see Hamilton acting and speaking I can't help but start feeling he is showing himself up as a bit of a tool.

I'm sure (hope) this will pass.

I'm not alone in thinking that am I?

There are no rider weight limits in motogp, which is strange as the riders weight has a greater effect to the power to weight ratio than it would in a car... some of the lighter riders weigh in at 50KG's while the heavier are around 80kg's... The difference is probably more than the weight of a full tank of fuel on a bike!

Nope biggrin

At least we can all cheer for Anthony Davidson (as well as Button & Coulthard), doing a great job with very inferior kit...just imagine what he'd be like if he had one of the best cars on the grid wink

They get their ride height checked too though, they even drive over the marbles to bump up the tyre profiles a bit.
