I felt sad enough at the RB5 parade at last year's Rally Day, let's hope it's not Colin.
Condolences to the families of whoever has been injured or killed.

See the thread in GG and the link to the Telegraph article seems to confirm the worst.

If it is confirmed (God, I hope it isn't) it's strange how these things seem to have a terrible coincidence. Yesterday while thinking about Gronholm's decision to retire and reflecting on the absence of high-profilers in the WRC world I started thinking about Colin McRae and how his rally career seemed to fizzle out without proper recognition of what he achieved. I was thinking that he was too good just to walk away from the sport and I was really looking forward to the R4 project giving him a new stage so that we'd see more of him again. I guess not - what a shame. Condolences to the McRae family.

The Times has confirmed that Colin is dead. Nothing on his son as yet.

The most exciting WRC driver I have ever seen. I could see a 25sec length of Haffran special stage and he was 3 secs faster than any of the other top drivers. A joy to watch. Someone special.
