Personally I wouldn't stop laughing for years if LH won the WDC and then turned round and said "this sport is sh!t. I'm off".
Let's hope he stays then, that would be very annoying for you.

People saying he should be thankful he's in F1 clearly don't it (or anything at all I wonder?)
Your implied insult would be more cutting if it made sense.

Utter b0llocks.
With his big name and reputation, he could go straight in as assistant manager. Oh yes, that's the big time.
with that sort of title he might even be eligable for staff discount......

F1 at present never ceases to amaze me. The last time it had a dicktator like this at the helm (spelling is correct, by the way wink )
I'm lovin' your play on words.

Do you not think you're reading a bit much into one line? I'm sure thousands of people say that about their jobs when some extra bit of bureaucratic bullshit takes place. Your worse then the bloody papers getting a title of "Lewis May Quit" from that small insignificant statement.

He did nothing wrong last weekend..only what any other leading driver would do, which is enough to get himself a 'jump' on the following drivers at the re-start.
I'm sure Ron will calm the situation and we can all enjoy and good race this weekend.
did nothing wrong? well he broke no laws, but some laws should be obvious ie stop starting is crap, but yes he did do what any other top driver would do.
that is the future risk so the fia need a directive, ie once you build speed (corners allowing) you dont reduce it again
Surely the stopping and starting is to keep heat into the tyres which all drivers have to do, and I'm sure still applies to wets, ie leave a cap accelerate to build heat up then slow behind the pace car.

he's already a multi-millionaire from all his sponsers!silly

Tag heur watches for a start payed him millions, and if he became world champion at the end of the season, even if he did leave the sport, everyone would still want him to advertise the're products, because of what he will have achieved: being the first ever rookie to win the world championship!

He is not paid any money by TAG Heuer, no by any other sponsor on the McLaren car. Both drivers are paid centrally via the team. They have NO external sponsorship contracts and have to 'make appearances' depending upon exposure and time constraints' to help leverage commercial relationship.

I have a fair idea of how this works because its what I do day in and day out for F1 teams!!!

Lewis has a small cash contract but with a podium and points bonus, which has made him good money this season, but by no means is he pulling in premiership footballer money yet.

so i don't think he will be applying for that job at KFC just yet! wink

Yep what a mong.. I'll be thinking of you when I'm at the track driving a racecar while you plug cables into a router, you *Fiat Coupe Turbo abuser* you.....

P.S. I've been following Lewis for years and a big fan, but he's not above the sport.

Schumacher said exactly the same many years ago when he was black flagged for overtaking on the warm up lap.

It's just his way of saying, he's not interested in the politics of the sport.

Fair play the lad can race - but I'm starting to think he should leave the talking part to his Dad rolleyes

He's just a kid. I dread to think what I would have said when I was his age. For someone who has only just started shaving I reckon that he handles himself quite well in front of a mike.
