Oh dear - Andy looks like he's out of race 1. Another championship not likely to be won this weekend!!

At least Jorg Muller and Farfus didn't score any more points in race 2.

Farfus reverting to his old methods of trying to force cars behind him off the track got it a bit wrong approaching Grand Curve as he moved across on Gabrielle Tarquini but instead of forcing the Italians Seat onto the grass he got turned round into the barriers then catapulted straight back across the track in front of the following field. Amazing no one T-boned him.

Onto Macau.

Ps. 9 laps per race at Monza. Seems terribly short for a world championship race, they should be doing 12-15 at the very least.

Yep race two was a saving grace, I have to admit to being pleased when Farfus went out - I'm not sure I can stand another Macau like last year though!

9 laps did seem short - not sure what the rationale is behind it - circuit length doesn't sound like the reason?

I'm wondering if it is to appease the few locals who have been complaining about the noise and managing to get a number of event cancelled. Maybe they put a limitation on use for the weekend and they had shorter races to fit the tighter race schedule?

Or could it just be as simple as getting all the races on the timetable in before it starts to get too dark?
