Now everyone has an opinion on F1

I heard some daft bint on the radio this morning bleating on about what a shame it was that Lewis Hamilton DNF'd on sunday, she then carries on saying it wasn't his fault, the team were to blame and they'd left him out there too long. The male half of the breakfast show then asked her how come she was an expert as she had never watched a Formula 1 race till last week !!!! FFS what is going on we now have armchair experts with zero understanding offering "informed" opinion, the bottom line was she had an opinion because LH is young, good looking, wealthy (well on the way to being V wealthy) gifted and british, but she just couldn't see through her rose tinted specs that he fooked up big style, it happens he's allowed to, but atleast accept it even LH accepts it was his fook up afterall.
Having actually watched the race, I think she was about 60% correct.
Did you see his tyres? Down to the canvas.
The other 40% was his own fault for not insisting on coming in earlier, and for making a mistake on an unsighted bend while up the jaxxie of a Toyota and landing it in the gravel trap.

If they're giving jobs to people like that then maybe I will apply...afterall, I know very little about the sport Thudd said:

I was secretly hoping something would happen to take the championship down to the last race.
I'm sure it won't happen, but surely the ideal scenario would be to have 3 contenders for the championship bashing wheels for an hour in an epic battle and then a photo finish rather than just. "And the new world champion Lewis Hamilton lines up on the starting grid here at Interlagos for his 80 lap victory parade...."

Well to be fair she is not far wrong... LH could not see the state his tyres where in and the main reason LH did not come in earlier was due to the team trying to work out what tyres to go with... The weather was changing and they wanted to get the tyres right i.e. inters or dry, plus it mean't they could fuel to the end of the race... In the end it was a gamble the team took and lost and annoyingly one they did not need to take ! LH is not really to blame at all... Maybe you should check your facts next time first... Check your facts
Lewis could not see in his wingmirrors and it wasn't as if he could pull over on the hard shoulder, jump out and have a quick look???
In all fairness it was the teams fault - lewis ultimatley made the up but why? Because his tyres were shagged.
p.s I watch it all the time and was up at 6am unlike bint on radio

Brazil has the potential to be an extremely intense finish to the championship.

And here comes the rookie...... Who was in the driving seat and could feel what the car was doing? Who had done the last god knows how many corners on the tyres as they got worse and worse? Who was in direct radio contact with team in the pits looking at the same pictures we were? At the end of the day he had adjusted his corner speed as the tyres got worse and worse on every other corner on the circuit but the one that caught him out was the entrance to the pit lane so was the corner he had only driven a few times in comparison to the rest of the circuit, he simply came in too hot for the grip that he had avaliable and didn't take into account that there was no avaliable run off just kitty litter for him to beach on. Yes the team have some blame but ultimately it was the guy behind the wheel that over cooked it. This in no way knocks Lewis Hamilton what he had done has been nothing short of miraculous but on this occasion he fooked up, every driver is expected to get it wrong now and again, they are after all human, I think it's one of only a few mistakes he's made all season but it does beg the question would a more experienced driver have made the same mistake?
Anyway my moan was about people who have only ever watched 2 grand prix' all of a sudden becoming experts on it.

Is it just me.....am I too old and too cynical but.......isnt it toooooo much of a happy coincidence that we go down to the last race with 3 drivers still in the hunt..!!!!! Very handy for TV - very handy for Bernie et al after the spying fiascoI'm sure it won't happen, but surely the ideal scenario would be to have 3 contenders for the championship bashing wheels for an hour in an epic battle and then a photo finish rather than just. What a great way to remember the 2007 season - not as a sad reflection on 'what happened to the good old days' but more ' the closest most exciting finish for years'
or am I just being a cynic..................??????
