Matt Neal did exactly what I thought he would which is exactly what Plato would have done if things were the other way around. Plato was never going to catch up in that 3rd race after such a poor start.

Having said that Gio had a great day today as the Vauxhalls are better suited to the track, congratulatons to him and the other champions.

Hope Mike Jordan is okay, second time he's finished the season in the wall. frown

Yep mine too.

I thought he'd be man enough to get Jason back for bumping him off the track...but he tried to do it fairly. Poor show Matt ya big girls blouse.

Loved Plato's straight lining of chicanes to catch up with those in front. The guy is a class act.

I just have to say that Giovanardi is a deserving champion after Plato's driving display in the televised races this afternoon.

Burns or no burns it is not acceptable to deliberately punt your opponents and cut the course to gain an advantage.

I know Plato has a reputation, I know people think there are different rules for "no contact" racing in touring cars, but I would actually have been ashamed to drive a Seat if he had taken the title by successfully knocking Giovanardi and Chilton off the track.

God damn sky plus cut off the last two laps yet still managed to have the end of the motorbike race at the start rolleyes I will have to record the programme after BTCC next tim eto be sure of getting all the action.

Giovanardi is a deserving champion, he is the best driver in the field, some of his saves from being sideways at 100mph on the grass have been superb this season. Plato usually wins by ramming people off the track Matt Neil style.

I have been a BMW fan this season, it has been one of the fastest cars out there but lacked consistancy and its less foregiving being RWD when things start going wrong. Lets hope for 2008 they can continue developing the car and setup.

You can't criticise Plato's driving.

I drive in karts and the final is allways a bit firmer than the heats.

For a title to come down to one race and the last one at that I think more people would have complained if he had bottled out.

He gave it his absolute you could see that.

His push on Matt Neal was no more than Neal deserved.

Funny how the Vauxhalls seemed to be getting away when Neal let them past.

Thats why Jason was frustrated.
Funny also how when Jason went past Neal and started to catch the Vauxhalls up Neal was all over the back of Plato..

Strange?? hmmmm

Sorry.. but I just don't get this.. at the end of the second race when interviewing Neal, he said that there were only two people in the race and that that was the main thing... I thought initamting that he would back of both Giovanardi and Plato and let them get on with it...

and then he had to go and do what he did...

Neal has gone down in my estimation.

It may be that Giovanardi is the best out there and deserved the win but I still think that he would have preferred to win the title by fair play without the interference of Neal...

car that burns were from was a Caparo. im so happy to see Gio win it. Bloody hate Plato mostly for reasons stated. wish Neal had punted him back though. Wish they had interviewed him after the race on the telly would love to hear what he has to say. think its pretty safe to assume plato was upset with neal being the "4th vauxhall" lol bless him. sorry i sound harsh just hate the guy. just a dirty racer who throws toys out of pram if he is not treated like a princess.

Plat was very nice in defeat actually, said nothing but good about FG and said little about MN, I thought all in all he was very considered and magnanimous in defeat today. (and I have met him and I don't really like him!)

I did think Matt Neal was very sensible though, it must have been tempting to give him some of his own medicine back.

If the roumours of him driving for vauxhall next year are true I think thats fair enough helping your new team. No different to the engine partners in F1.

Very sad person.
