I don't think drivers get any faster through the years, they just get into faster cars, so he may have peaked too early.

As Hamilton and Alonso finished on the same points and the same amount of wins, how were they separated?, probably covered in a thread somewhere but a lot to look through.
Hamilton has more second places.

He is the greatest current F1 driver.
Certainley the greatest at whineing, bitching and generally acting like a little child that has been told he can't have any sweets in sweet shop.......

I'd love to Ron dump him and no other team want him, so he can go off an sulk somewhere else......

I get the feeling that Theissen is not the kind of guy that would go back on a contract.....
You might want to get JV's opinion on that.

The problem with Alonso, is not Alonso himself, but people like 5% who piss people off so much with childish comments that every starts to hate the driver instead of the poster.

Alonso is a great driver, so to is Lewis. In fact anyone in F1 is bloody good as most of us here can't even begin to appreciate what it takes to drive those machines.

I think the British press have made more of the Alonso affair than is really true and of course that allows others to just add to the rumours. Lewis too has said a few stupid things this year that could have come back to haunt him. I think both drivers need to look carefully at what has happened this year.

However, my gut feeling is that they will not be team mates anyway next year so the British press will just have to attack the next guy to partner Lewis...

was talking to an F1 journalist yesterday. *contractually*, alonso cannot leave mclaren, but they can let him go, if it can be proved that alonso has caused bad publicity / image for mclaren. alonso could only break the contract and leave of his own accord if mclaren had damaged his image.

he also said that rosberg was top tip for replacement if alonso goes, but would like create another situation with two equal drivers at mclaren.
